I was wondering what I should go with. I like Gates belts but Dayco tensioners. Not sure on the Idler pulleys. Was thinking about going with Dayco on those too. Any suggestions would be great as I am doing the repair this week.

I'm with you; I chose a Dayco tensioner and idlers with a Gates belt.

Yea I have had good luck with them in the past just looking to see if there is better. I plan on keeping the car til the wheels fall off.

Gatorback belts are my personal choice for serpentine belts.
I'm not so sure about specific brands on tensioners - but I figure if I never heard of the brand, I'm not buying *grins*

Being I am using Rockauto.com and both the dayco and gates look good I am going with a gates belt, gates tensioner, and gates idler pulley. They look exactly like the factory OE parts and the tensioner even has the same part number for half the money. Feel free to express opinions on this. All those parts and a brand new Remy ALternator is gonna cost me $191. I have the delco alt not the later model bosch. Bearings are out in mine and its really squeaky but somehow still putting out plenty of voltage.
