I have decided to go with the Borla Cat-back exhaust for my 3.4 and was wondering what sites people have purchased theirs from in the past. Have been to PFYC and a couple of others but so far PFYC is the cheapest at $574.99. Any feedback on the exhaust as well would be a welcome addition.

Assuming you're talking about the one specifically for the Alero, I got mine from PFYC. The fit and finish is nice, but it is less loud than I would prefer.

Got my current one from PFYC....fit and finish is excellent, and the sound is just right with headers. You get what you pay for.

get an SLP exhaust for a grand am (you need to shave a couple inches off) but it has a medium tone and fits great

imo flowmasters are for people who can't afford real exhausts, I have heard a flowmaster on an alero and it sounds like muffled a**. it is dull and did not give much of a performance increase.

riceLP????  Ummmmmm yeah, they sell a lot of performance parts for foreign cars  :knob:
If you want to save money, have a local shop do a custom set-up.
If you want something that is nice but on the louder side, go with SLP.
If you want really nice but not that loud, go with borla.

sorry to burst your bubble, but any exhaust you put on an alero isnt gonna "give much of a performance increase."

of course you would not think so with a flomaster, try another exhaust, and yes not by itself you have to do some more in order for the exhaust to payoff
