Ordered myself some new Mastercraft avenger touring h rated tires. Can't wait to get rid of those shit walmart Douglas tires. No traction at all.

Getting all 4 tires for $280 through a friend of mine who has his own shop. I am installing them myself

Are those tires still made in USA?

Very nice price though aren't those unbranded coopers? I saw people whining about traction with my brand. They must have been driving like retards cause my Primewells handle great. They ride decent and sound isn't bad for performance A/S either. I had BF's on before and though those cost like 5 times as much these aren't too bad. Will have to wait and see about tire life though.
I hope yours treat you well brand names are sooo over rated imho.

It's the only patch of contact keeping you in control of your car. Tires are important and they make the world of difference in every aspect of driving.
Research, read reviews everywhere before you buy. Don't buy crap tires.
Can you stop quick in the rain to avoid that car that just swerved over in front of you?
Will your car slide off that highway on-ramp as you go around the curve?
Tires can change the outcome of many situations. Once I started getting high quality rubber, I never buy anything but.

They are made by cooper. Basically look like a cs4. American made too. My mom has a set and they work well on her focus. The Douglas gth tires I have now are absolute shit

Those probably are good tires, you just got a really good deal on them:

Items (4): $429.20
Shipping: $37.00
Total for this item: $466.20
That total is about right for tires for this car (just for the tires) if bought through the mail. I am assuming 225/50R16 tires.

Mine are 225/50/16
I had 225/60/16 and they rubbed the inner fender well when you had the wheel turned all the way.

Mine are Cooper something. Really nice tires but I can barely break them lose when I tried. So yeah lots of tread. Sorry for double post and I quoted my self somehow:drunk:

Got the tires installed on my car today. What a difference! Balanced with very little weight. My Alero feels like a sports car finally. Good riddance to those dang douglas tires.

Nice congorats I' am a really big fan of Coopers. Great value on those tires. What size were you running before? What kind of Alero you got?
I still think you can get really great bargain tires with some research. I have run my primewell's pretty hard since I got them and there's been a ton of rain. I have taken on ramps hard and panic stopped. They have performed as well as my BF's that cost 5 times as much. The only question for me will be the longevity. Just going to have to wait and see on that. Unless I win the lotto I refuse to pay $200+ dollars a tire lol
