I'm interested to see if there any light bleed from around the edges of the shrouds. Looks really good, Nate.
sleepyalero
06-06-2014, 05:26 PM
If there is id kinda like the look of that where the shrouds possibly have holes in them. I havent seen these in person yet so idk. But should perform very well.
And thank you sir!

Why does it look like he painted the clear reflector that you had in there?
sleepyalero
06-06-2014, 09:24 PM
Funny thing is he broke a clear reflector by accident. Wasnt really his fault though. :( so I had him tint some orange reflectors for me.

They look really sweet man! I can't wait to see what they look like on the car. Oh and welcome to the projectors club lol. Mine aren't HID's on the Mazda cause I didn't get the S Grand Touring model, but they still look really cool imo.

I feel ya there man. When it comes to something you want especially car parts you always want it to get there yesterday as opposed to having to wait for it lol.

They look realllly nice. How much did they cost?
sleepyalero
06-13-2014, 12:36 AM
85 for new lights off ebay. Free shipping. 500 for projectors, bulbs, ballasts. 450 for the work, shrouds, and shipping back and forth. Can be done cheaper if you do the work yourself. If you do a retro yourself. I advise a smaller projector. Unless you want to take on the challange of the md2s 3.0 projectors. But my advice... use the mini H1 Projectors or md2s 2.0. Both are compact and 2.5 inch lenses. The projector I got is larger and had a 3 inch lens.
Ill post some output shots in a min. I got the lights in today, installed and adjusted beams. I need to aim them a tad higher for my liking. But I got em pretty good for now.

Cut off on brick wall. Not the best wall. But best I could find quickly that had a dark parking lot with a pretty flat lot.

Still love those lights. Never got around to doing the retro before I sold my alero. Although, I have personally retrofitted my Silverado and absolutely love it.
sleepyalero

Retrofit sure is nice.

Retrofit sure is nice.
Sure is ... if you weren't having problems selling yours I'd almost consider retrofitting the stock pair I have in storage and selling them.
I don't understand why more people don't do retrofits. They're not that hard to do especially if you're using the mini H1s or mini D2S kits.

Yeah the projectors i have are honestly to big. :(
