Peeling clear coat

How do you fix peeling clear coat? My rear bumper is peeling pretty extensively. I'm a mechanic but a very poor body guy.

Sand and repaint.

^^ wet sand... you'll want to wet sand the area with 1000 grit to rough up the area but not scratch it or leave swirl marks... then clean it off and then apply new clear...

Does clear blend well like that though? I have a car with peeling clear coat and want to fix it.

From what I've seen as long as the colour is not faded or scratched it should blend ok....

May have to do the silver paint too and the clear. Ain't gotta be perfect. Car is just a driver but I like a decent looking car. Mechanical is more important to me though. I may get a junkyard bumper that's same color and just replace it
