Hi all,

This is about a 2001 model.
I bought a new remote for keyless entry on amazon but can't get it to work.
I found the programming sequence online:
Close door, hold unlock button, key in,out,in,out,in and release unlock button.
Chime sounds 3 times and when i hold the lock and unlock button on the old remotes for 15 seconds the chime sounds, but when i do the same with the new remote, nothing happens.

Anybody?

You do realize that Export Models have a different kind of remote and frequency the theft deterrent works on? And that US Style remotes do not work.

In Addition a completely new remote has to be programmed to the BCM, depending on the modelyear this can be done by everybody or for the later years you need a Tech2 or other kind of suitable programmer.
Which, again for the Export version, are nigh to impossible to get.
