2016 Olds Homecoming Show

They date and location is set for you that are interested in going. It is the largest single day Oldsmobile show in the world. I highly recommend it. Swap meet is usually better than the OCA Nationals.

As of right now, I'm planing on making the trip, in the Volvo though. A lot of legal stuff going on right now that I really can't discuss. Unless something goes wrong with that, I should be there. I already have the time off

Volvo (Turbo) is my DD now, the Alero is not. The Volvo needs it's AC fixed and I was dying last summer. More importantly, Adam was dying in the car last summer. My Mech will replace all the AC stuff, and the stuff will have a Lifetime warranty, for $900. Not bad for a car that the entire brand has a history of AC issues

The Alero needs tires. Priced them out at $500-$600 (Looking at Conti DWS 06 all seasons or the BFG's in the same catagory)

The Delta is still in the shop, probably looking at $1000+ to get it road worthy.

On top of all the legal stuff, house stuff, etc The Alero is going to have to take a back seat to all this. If it passes state inspection with the tires that are on there now, I'll probably wait until late November 2016 to replace them. They are pretty dry rotted and don't want to risk a 700 mile drive on them ;)

They wanted me for the swap meet, I said I can't head that position knowing several of the vendors personally, but would assist whomever heads that part of the show! So my Friday is looking booked??

Its on the calendar. I make no promises about coming. If I do it will likely be in the cruze, maybe intrigue. The alero is my dd for work, 17 mile trip twice a day. I don't think I'd trust it for trip that long, It'd have to have an alignment. I really think it would make it but 230,8XX miles and she's been needing clutch for the past year.

Ive been at work since 8 am, 11:17 pm as i write this. That fuckin car above gave me a hassle. Boss said has to be done before weekend so he said you will have to come in tomorrow, i said screw that, im bustin my ass getting this car done so i can get my time off. Had an appointment for re-doing my exhaust (which currently is unsafe and is melting my fuel tank in one spot). They've dragged their feet the last few days and now are telling me they refuse to do it because the fuel tank has that partially melted spot. Even though the new pipe will be routed SUPER FAR away from the fuel tank in general, they refuse to touch the exhaust and would rather just leave it against the tank unsafely and let me be on my way.

So I'm likely not going. Currently searching for another shop that can fabricate a stainless exhaust.
