I was wondering, for future reference, if I want to swap my auto to a standard, would I need to take the transmission from another Alero with the same engine? Or would it be as long as it is from an Alero in general?

I know what's involved with this swap and understand the work that is involved, but would still love to cruise around town in a standard.

Corner clearing still yet to come.

Seems like a stupid question, but I'd rather be safe then sorry.

Is your car a v6? If so, they never made manual v6's.

My v6 is swapped to a 6 speed manual.

Yeah, mine is the 3400 sfi. Yours is V6 with a 6-speed? What vehicle would I want to take a manual transmission from, if any?

6 speed swap you want to pull it from a 2007 g6 gxp.

I will warn you, the flywheels are discontinued. And are non-resurfacable like your standard flywheels are.

Your other option is a getrag 282 5 speed swap. Which comes from a chevy beretta.

The Pontiac Sunfire also uses the F23, could you swap one into an Alero? or does it not bolt to the LA1?

Hmm, alright.. I'm making a list here.

Sadly, this is true. I will be looking into this yet as this is a project that is yet to come when I am able to spare the money.
