Do you have a sunroof tenny? I can't speak for 2004's but it used to be you either had a sunroof with a switch there, or a cubby for your sunglasses.

sunglasses do fit in there perfectly...mine do...too bad one of the clips holding in one side is broken...so the back right side is kind of loose <_<

so anyone know what has to be done to install it?
Sure I will send you mine and you send me a sunroof. Fair trade. Nah but I do want to keep my compartment and still get an aftermarket sunroof with switch in the console or dash.

I thought someone had said on here that the newer the Alero more features were taken off? I have the overhead and the map lights under the rearview mirror. I think the 2002 or 2003 don't have the map lights. I know some people could care less but they are convient
I have 99 GLS and everything but Sunroof...Which I am getting custom anyways

i have heard that before too. try going to a junk/salvage yard to look for one, i think thats your best bet.
btw, i find it quite convenient to clip my cell phone to the lip of that compartment

I have a 2004 GL and I dont have the compartment or a sunroof. I also dont have any lights on the mirror itself... friggin GM :pissed:
anyone have a pic of the headliner with this piece removed? I take it there must be holes in the headliner, so i'd probably have to cut my headliner to mount this. :pissed: It's only 10 bucks on gm parts direct, I got the part number off of grandamgt.com
