I bought a 2002 alero last january. It serves as my daily driver (Nebraska winters can really suck with low rides) so it is pretty much stock. I have removed the factory stereo, makes for good batting practice and installed OMNIFI digital media player ( pretty good product wait for it to get better, like an in dash version.) has a boat load of storage for all of music(my local 3 non country radio stations are an exceptionally lame listening expericence.) I actually drove 4 hours to buy one before they even had it on the shelves. MORE importantly my little brother wrecked my car  yesterday and i have little self restraint for some customizing, so stay tuned and during the winter break maybe I'll custom out my alero.

Welcome. There's a handy little button that says "Close All Tags." I have XM because even in Detroit it's hard to find good radio, and especially when I'm driving up north in the boonies.

formula, it wasnt about xm persay, but about crappy radio stations hence the switch to aftermarket radio.

yea, well i dont know why she'd tell him to close all tags, the omnifi player has nothing to do with radio, its a hard drive based media player.

hey, sorry about all this tags stuff, I don't spend much time on a computer, let alone typing and reading all of this stuff, I don't know if I will ever read everything on this site. I stuck on any mods on the car right now I have other projects going on and did not plan on doing the car right now. If I ever get digital pictures(don't ask) I'll show my current project a 02 Harley-Davidson. It was a Dyna Low Rider until I tested it in a head on collision with a local bar's front wall. Sorry no pictures of that. My Uncle rebuilt it for me since I was a sissy about working on a motorcycle that only had 400 miles on it. He did some really good stuff and some so-so stuff, I am taking it apart myself this time to finish what I started. By the way anybody who complains about the price of this alero stuff should look at the price of this junk

Plans for the Alero go something like this.
I ordered new headlights, and misc. repair parts.
I need to repair the bumper cover and hood.
I would like to commit to the OSV kit, but my motorcycle bill wipes that out for now
I am considering painting the whole car, inside out this lambowhatever color called Giallo Midas, tri-coat yellow. pretty sweet color, once paint a dirt-track stockcar that color http://www.msnusers.com/qpqqebd0td6qoh9emg...%2FPict0005.JPG (http://www.msnusers.com/qpqqebd0td6qoh9emg18r8gb57/Documents/Pictures%2FPict0005.JPG)[/IMG]
told you not ask about those pictures
I don't want to lower the car any more than the effects, the roads here are not freindly to anything that easily breaks like fiberglass, plastic, etc.
Maybe next year I'll spring for some billet wheels, but since I purchased some new to me tires off e-bay that need some rubber worn off. (It's a principal thing) that can wait.
I really need to keep the car easy to drive everyday without a whole lot of high maintance add-ons
