I was checking out their website www.treoonline.com, and I saw that their csx subwoofer set the world record at 177.6 db. If anyone looks at the specifications for the 15" CSX subwoofer, the magnet weight is 874 oz. and the x-max is 2.81 inches. I was just wondering if anyone has heard these subs's or owned these?

I've heard these subs in person, but not in car. Apparently, TREO does own the record for most db's. Anyway, they hit just as hard but much, much cleaner than any other sub in the store, and this store sold only high end product, so you get the idea what other brands were there. I've heard a lower model TREO in a car, and it hit pretty damn hard for only pushing 600 watts. I push 500 in my car, but the other car sounded like it could have almost been a competition car. So there's what I've heard about them.

im pretty sure the CSX series arent meant for the average user. they are built for competitions only, meaning "burps" as they call them.

I am a big fan of TREO's. Right now I can't afford them, but in the future I will get the SSI 12.22's for my ride. Treo's are the best sounding subs I've heard to date.

as sad as it is to say the loudest speaker in the world right know is the Pioneers spl5000 sub. they hold the world record in dbdrag racing, usaci and meca. but the treos are great speakers. one of the better companys out there. That speaker line you are looking at is more for pure spl. just burps. not music, try there other lines like the ssx you will like it better.
