Im making some kind of plan to trick out the car in steps. The car is the 3400 4door sedan. Its in the "auborn mist color I think(the copper\brown\whatever color)
Im gunna post in av on audio stuff but here I want advice on what to replace interior wise that will be more like a luxury car. Im thinking new console(mines damaged and seems flimsy) and dash with a nice woodgrain type. Think mercedes interior. If I could find a steering wheel that is luxury-ish with hard woodgrain but also has buttons for cruise etc(Im guessing thats not common)
Any other suggestions? :) :pimp:

Get cat Skin leather interior. Go to ebay they have all kinds of wood and metal and carbon fiber trim kits. Also speedhut gauges like mine or pretty much anyother gauge face pales in comparison to the speedhut gauges. Change your shift knob out thats all I can think of.

This stuff isnt too expensive :)
Trying to find a good steering wheel but there arent any that say they fit in my car. Anyone know models that will?
PS- My power seat motor "works" in that I can hear it grinding when I try to use it, but the seat doesnt go anywhere. Anyone got tips on that? :)

in all honesty, if you want ur car to be unique, just research it on the net and go from there, its been a long learning process for me over the past year but ive developed my own plan for my interior and it will be unique from most others, others can give ideas to a certain extent, but then if you get too many ideas from others, is anything ur idea/vision anymore?

here`s a thought................why did you buy an alero if you want a luxury car??? the alero is a real nice car so why don`t you save your money and buy a bmw?? or lexus?? or a mercedes???
now that`s luxry

because I cant afford that. 200 bucks on trim and a new knob sounds a bit more in my price range than tripling the cost of my car. Obviously I cant work to save up to get a luxury car for use to drive to school if I dont have a car in the first place....
Some people really have nothing good to say  gg

I personally am not a big fan of woodgrain. If you are going to get cf pedals, why not get a cf dash kit too? If you like it, go for it, but find a better dash kit, and go with Catskinz interior.

Well now Ive discovered that the whole viynl console and a/c cd panel is loose and cracked a bit. I just thought the wood blended better with the lighter colored viynl. Is there a replacement console that anyone knows of? I have np about getting cf instead of wood. I just want something that goes with the "flow" :)

I am going with the wood grain but I will be getting a shop on it because I am looking for a certain style t match the kit that you can buy. If you want wood get some wood

do you have leather?
best setup i could think of on top of woodgrain, maybe some nice white faced gauges, and replace the stereo with a flush screen..seen it on a few alero's....dont know where you could put a radio then though.

that picture you've got FormulaNERD, how did you get the knobs? Or more specifically, where could I get them, and what's involved to get the light-up knobs workin'?

the blue is underneath the stock rubber covering of the knobs, and the lighting behind it is also already there.

NOTE: not all knobs are blue like that underneath. It's just on the 99 and maybe 00 Aleros. In 01+ the knobs are a solid white color.

i have the HVAC from a 2001 with blue behind the knobs.

Dunno why yours are like that. As everyone else I know with an 01+, myself included have the white knobs.
It's easy to tell without cutting away the covering. Just pull your knob off and look at the inside of it. If it's the clearish blue color your good to go, if it's white it'll look like crap if you take the covers off.
