looks decent.
some may flame on you, but i think it's silly to fake the funk with a 4 banger and try to make it sound beefy with a flowmaster.
a "fart can" can sound decent on a 4cyl... they're just few and far between.
(i realize that info ^ is irrellavant now that i know you have the 3400)
but on your 6 cyl, i'm not sure. i've heard them on is300's ( 3.0 v6 i think) and they can sound good... you should get some sound clips.

Yes it does look like it belongs on a Honda, but I actually like the look of the burnt tip. Don't know how that is going to sound on the 3400. You are probably not going to get a deep tone like some of the flowmasters and stuff.

i have the 3400 v6.....and actually it has a nice deep sound...i will try to get some sound clips up.....

That muffler is basically a resonator, it's designed much the same way the resonator was on your stock exhaust system...

Doesnt mean anything dude, just saying thats all... it's a resonator, a good type of muffler because it really doesnt affect the exhaust flow, you should put another one on up where the original resonator was, you probably have room... it would help quiet it up some (if you think it's loud or raspy) and really cause no extra performance loss..

ah, ok, at higher rpms...it is really not that much louder, just has a much louder and deeper idle, loudest when taking off around 2000-2250 rpms....

Might look okay because of the cutout size in your kit. I don't like that style with the stock bumper because they hang down too much. I like it when you just see the tip and not much else.
Jeeezus get some paint though.

don't worry my paint job will be coming soon.....probably before the end of october...
So what was before this exhaust? custom 2.5 mandrel bent?

So does the SLP just bolt up with no modifications? I'm thinking of ordering it soon in a couple weeks after i get some bills out of the way.

before this i justs had a muffler welded on, with the stock pipes.....and kdan if you buy the whole SLP system yes it will just bolt up.....as far as my setup....well the SLP pipes bolted up perfect but in order to run my single titanium muffler we cut the SLP piping right after it cleared the read axle, then we welded together a custom 2.5" piece that drops down and straight out the back for my titanium muffler...i will try to get some better pics......

I'm about to install my muffler finally (I've been so busy with college and all) so since this sort of looks like what I'm going to install, how did you go about installing a hanger? or does it really need one?
Edit: Oops.. also where did you get the SLP piping by the way?

i ordered it straight from slp by phone....i think greg is the guy i talked to...i forgot his extension number....anyways....the first hanger will line up perfectly.....and when i cut off part of the slp, the second hanger was cut off too.....so i installed a hanger straight above the muffler.....keeps it way steady too instead off wobbling around with the stock hanger....i will post up a pic of it this afternoon.....

Arise, chicken, arise! Chicken, arise! Oh wait.. stick upsidedown.. Arise, chicken!
Yea.. old thread..
Anyway.. does the 6-cylinder and the 4-cylinder have the same exhaust layout? I e-mailed SLP a while back and they said that they didn't have the piping for my 4-cylinder. I just e-mailed them again with a little more information included along with some stuff that shows that I know what I'm talking about with the same request and if they could custom bend it for me if I provided a diagram.. it might work this time.

^^ No they used to but they stopped doing that. I wanted to use the SLP set up with a flowmaster 80.
Mine sounds a bit ricey I'm sorry to say but only at 3700 to 4300 RPM's other than that is sounds good.
Turbo, your install looks nice and clean. I would like to hear sound clips. If it doesn't sound ricey, I'll have to like it

Kyels exhaust sounds mean..I like it alot, I want to do the same but with two outlets, and have two titanium muffs on each outlet..really though. the muffler sounds good, the slp piping helped out I bet,,and his car being a 3400 as well..but it doesn't sound ricey at all..

actually i know.....$185 shipped for slp piping, $38 shipped for universal titanium pipe off ebay, $43 for labor from exhaust shop.........for a grand total of $266, can't hardly beat that price for a good quality catback exhaust setup
