ok, ive got a 2001 4dr gls with 75k on it. I just ordered spring tech springs off suspensionmax.

i know everyone recomeneds doing kyb struts at the same time, but i think my struts were replaced at one time, ive had the car since 73k. i can rock on it and it doesn't keep bouncing, seems fine on bumps and corners, just leans WAY to much

i kind of want to keep the oem struts because i dont want a super hard ride, and i dont have a hole lot of money anyways, so it seems like win win, any way to tell? or any way to tell if the struts i have are bad?

i did do a search, nothing concrete

Take the wheel off and check to see if it is just black mount with polished rod.

Iam not sure if this is true iam giving a guess but look for a GM simble or something like that. Or a good amount of rust can tell you if they are original or not

if it looks like this then it is stock (stock rear strut with eibach spring that is)

since we are talking about struts, is it true that the kyb is shorter than the stock one? i am thinking about upgrading in the near future but as it is i can barely stick my index finger between the tire and the strut and i am afraid that the kyb's wont fit.

what i meant was......what if they "gm's" or acdelco's.........but they're not 75kmiles old

if there oem they will have a gm or ac delco part number on them, if theyve been replaced in the last prob 6 months they prob wont be rusty yet.
