hey guys, hooked up a new amp today and tested it, and when i put it to cd the amp would turn off :pissed: so i hooked the remote lead to the acc wire and that seemed to work fine. so then i put everything back together, and tonight go out to pick up my pizza and my dash lights wont come on and an SVS light comes on :pissed: i figure its probably cuz of the acc wire, but i unhooked the fuse on the powr wire for the amp and it still does it, what do you guys think is causing this? i didnt really have much time to play around with it cuz it was getting dark.

well if you unhooked the fuse on the power wire then its probably something with your remote turn on wire........probably pulling too much power but i doubt that should be it, there should be a small fuse on the amp pull that out and see if your lights come back on........make sure all your connections are good, nothing loose, and hook that remote turn on wire to the blue one coming off your head unit.........

oh and what kind of amp is it.......how many watts rms, things like that.....

Under the hood there is a fuse the fuse box for the parking lights. its a 15amp one. should be around the air box end of the fuse box area. change it out and you'll be good togo.

so you used the blue/white for remote turn on? and this is from the factory deck right?

yes you replaced the fuse but you need to know why it blew........just replacing something doesnt make it go away......

check and make sure your connections are correct and that your not pulling to much current from that one fuse on a normal basis.......

fuse has not blown since, I think i must have just shorted something out or something.

blue/white wire from an aftermarket deck.
