Just wondering, I used my widows one night no problem and when I came back to my car the next morn it wasnt working (drive side). I pulled off my door pannel and all wires are in tack, the pass window is working so its not the breaker. Do you guys think its my motor? If so how hard is it to replace and what do I do with teh plastic lining in the door? Also where do I get one, ebay?

Thanks,

if its not the plastic clips its probably your motor.......you can try and find just the motor but its a pain, try going to a junk yard......otherwise your just going to hafta buy the whole set up......

try hitting the motor a few times with a wrench or something hard.... it might just have a bad spot in the motor. it happend with mine, they didnt work when i bought the car, took, the panel fof and hit it, 8 months later there still working.

^^^^exactly. you dont need to take the panel off though. my driverside didnt want to work on friday so i just hit the door panel with my fist and bam! back in action.

yea my windows suck too.
they seem alot slower and the passenger side window doesnt
go up evenly so if i done manually push up on the back of it
there will be a small gap. :pissed: i have the 99 gls coupe

this happened to me again today except it was being extra stubborn. had to take off the panel and hit the regulator a few times with the end of a screw driver. i almost broke the panel taking it off cause at first i didnt know there was a screw behind the reflector. took not even 5 min to fix.

A few hits to the casing seememd to do the job :D Thanks!

As for the only working when ur door is opened, sounds like a broken wire!

hey, my rear passenger window hasn't been working in a while. If I don't have it taped up, it just falls. I've been looking on eBay for the window parts for that door, but nothing came up. Any ideas?

The more I read about these power window problems with GA's and Alero's the better off I feel for getting the good Old crank windows.....
