I was wondering if anyone has heard of the brake manufacturer Raceconcepts.
Their website is www.raceconcepts.net but more importantly I have come across an unbelievable deal for an entire set of cross-drilled/slotted rotors for $180.00. They are made following iso 9002 standards and are zinc plated to resist rusting.

Do not want to pass up a deal like this but am hesitant because I have never heard of them. Any feedback on their products would be great. Thanks guys

In case anyone is interested in knowing, I decided to go ahead and purchase the set of rotors from Raceconcepts.net and will be doing a review of the product as soon as I purchase some brake pads and brake lines. I am planning on buying the lines off of PFYC unless someone knows a better location.

As for brake pads I am still a little undecided. I am leaning towards the carbon metallic pads by Carbon Friction. How do these pads hold up, and if you feel there is a better pad to go with what are they?

Well good luck, I'd use carbon metallic pads definately, they don't produce as much dust. What rotors did you get? I didn't see any on the site for our car or any equivalent GM cars...

I got the cross drilled/ slotted ones. For what ever reason they dont have them listed through tthe website. Not only that, but if you look at the pricing for all the other rotors they sell it is about 180 for fronts or rears not all. They had a buy on ebay for the complete set at 180 free shipping. When I saw that price I figured the risk would be worth it.

I figured the carbon metallic. Hopefully they dont give off a lot of dust because I cant stand having to clean my wheels all the time. Becomes so annoying but thats better than dirty wheels.

Wait a minute  ...Ceramics are the best....tight grip and low low dust. Carbon metallic are cheap and will groove a lip into the rotor eventually. Think about the composite; Carbon(black heavy-dust)-Metallic(I dont have to explain right) or Ceramic (Non-metal) even OEM is Cermaic-Organic composite I believe.

mmm.....I don't know. If they are the Performance Friction Carbon Metallic pads the dust pretty bad. But they work great. I've had them on about 25,000-miles now with Brembo rotors, no grooving.

Well then what ceramics do you recommend?

Where are the best sites to purchase ceramic pads from or do I just pic them up at a car store?

I got mine from Autozone for 60 and never been happier....very little dust. I think Silent also got his from there but I am sure that he will recommend ceramic. Now I admit the better brand carbon metallics are just better than autozone replacement carbon metallics but I would just rather buy pads that are better for my car.

So what does anybody know about the performance friction silent ceramic brake pads on PFYC. Are these any good? Click here (http://www.pfyc.com/store/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=PFYC&Product_Code=GN4019&Product_Count=17&Category_Code=ALSUSP)

I have VGX carbon metallic and drilled rotors and my pads have a very light grinding sound when slowly rolling to a stop, my next set will be ceramics.

Here are my thoughts. Stock pads are carbon metalic up front and organic in the rear. I switched to GREEN STUFF pads and will never again. They are quiet but too much dust for my taste. I am running ceramic from NAPA now and couldn't be happier.

Remember that carbon metalic pads have metal in the break dust and if you don't clean your rims often, the metal in the dust will rust and eat into your finish on your rims. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM AT ALL. :pissed:

Go with ceramic. :)
