what do you think of this idea....i just put some foam on the mirrors to depict where the blinkers would be....take a look at the mirrors.

i think thats a nifty idea....
btw wheres the front of your car? lol think its missin something
I did them on mine and they look good although mine are placed behind the mirror itself. It mainly shows at night and I have had compliments. I would try it. Are you going to cut the housing and then place lexan in or just attach to the outside? :)

yeah i am going to cut the mirror assembly and mold the lexan lens in with LEDs.
Cool Cool...I went with LEDs but found it not to be a light type I was looking for. I only want to make a glow from behind the mirror as apposed to a Mercedes or even Ford Expedition look. Didn't want the arrows on Ebay either so I just went with the glow look and am happy but I am glad to see you being resourceful with the Lexan. Its your thing do what you want to do. alot of people swap GAGT mirrors on their cars, i personally like them better, some would disagree i'm sure, but i'm just saying, IF anderbra was planning on making these for sale, he might as well just fab some leds into GAGT mirrors, and he could sell them here and on GAGT.com

grand am gt mirrors on an alero is an easy and awesome looking swap.
thats what hes talking about. instead of installing them on the boring lame alero mirrors, just put them on the gagt mirrors and sell them like that.

I started to work onthat before I moved down. I bought the lights they had at Auto Zone that resemble the turnsignals used in the Mercades. I then traced them out and used A hot knife to carve out the area. All I have to say is trhey look purfect like they came from factory that way. I just have to get them painted to match. Actually I have to convince my mother to go in to the attic and ship them down to me.

I agree with what mobs and Form are sayin......this idea in conjunction with the dual posts would look sweet as hell.

I guess toss me in the minority... I hate all of the ridged/body molded GA crap. I got the alero for the smooth lines, and I like the smooth, simple stock mirrors.

well i think they would look better with my kit, or any kit for that matter...not on a completely stock one

I like the stock Alero mirrors better, they flow with the car more

If you do the project, I say use Alero mirrors.

using 5mm? i'd say no less than 6. you could also look into getting some pcb.

exactly. I shoulda emphasised on that....GA mirrors only look good on a kitted Alero, that'd look like ass on a stock bodied car like mine....

Meh, they don't look bad on a stock car.
Of course, my car has the razzi kit on it now. I just wondered if the mirrors are the same color as the car of if they are still black.

i think i am going to use 5mm....im workin on a lens....gonna try to keep it down to 2 LEDs and use the refraction of the lens to do the work.

well have you noticed if you place LED's in your blinkers, they tend to use less power so if you turn your blinker on it acts like a machine gun of light <_< so hopefully they should be slow like stockers
