this is geedog's set of tails....he shaved his trunk so we had to incorporate the reverse lights into the outer tails.....heres what i did, these are white LEDs......5mm and 10k mcd.......AKA they bright as hell.....the camera couldnt take a good picture of them cuz they were too bright
enjoy.....
theres going to be mesh over the center divider and over the LEDs...thats why i placed them in the order that they are....they are in the holes of the mesh....

looks great man.
i like the mesh idea.... would like to see something similar with all 4 tail lights, and maybe blue LED's all the way across that could be wired up with a seperate switch (for "off-road use" of course)
AnderbrA

everything is possible....;) brads had the mesh on all 4....
havin the white LEDs all the way across would be perdy expensive....but it would be bright as hell!!!

i don't like the mesh makes it look cheap to me, but whatever the customer wants. I love the led's in the reverse lights and the semi brake light looks very good! Nice work the black piece panted

the mesh provides a divider and goes with the prismatic theme..thats why it is there. more of a contrast thing....

im guessing they are 8-10k...they are damn bright! these ones were thicker than the ones ive used previously so i had to hack up the housing of the disk, but it actually looks better now cuz the LEDs are more defined.

if you use all led's for parking and brake lights.. your anti lock light will come on. Reason is there is no resistance in the brake light circuit. You need to add in a resistor like ya do to turn signals to make em blink correctly .. but instead just wiring it parallel in into the brake light wire (not parking light wire - brown color) but BRAKE light wire.
So in other words.. if you have all the taillights burnt out .. your antilock brakes will quit working also.. aka.. fubar-ed!

i guess to also point out that my car has no taillights in it at the moment and when i move it i dont get any abs light.....if the fuse is blown you will get a dummy light htough, cuz i shorted mine out once and got it.

I mean all the lights.. meaning 3rd brake light, inner tails and outer tails. When ya unplug all of that.. you'll get one.
