Hi guys,
I'm planning on buying an air ride soon, and I have a friend that might be able to install it for me, but he needs lots of pics to study: where u welded the struts, how u ran the lines. He's familiar with trucks, but not passenger cars. If ya'll can upload them here or e-mail them to me at bjensen83@yahoo.com i'd appreciate it
Thanks!

He is in california. I doubt he would want to go all the way out to Ill to get his air ride installed.

exactly air ride isnt rocket science really, most are bolt on struts...
if you dont have a plugin kit then the wiring can get messy though if you dont use proper wiring techniques

nice. Thanks for your help guys. My friend is also an electrician, so I guess I'll install the struts and have him do the wiring. Plus, he'll be doing it for free :P

good stuff, its always better to have somebody trained for wiring becasue one slip of a wire and your car becomes a fireball....
btw if your friend thinks electric tape is a way of connecting wires tell him to get away from your car.

i highly doubt an electrician wouldn't know the basics of soldering but ya never really know...
at the age of 15, i knew how to solder very well but then again, some people are morons.

K, well i got all the stuff today, but there's no instructions, just tons of hose connectors, valves, cylinders, etc. I see now how it bolts on to the car. What i really wanted to see was how u ran the air lines, and how they connect to the bags/cylniders. Thanks.

it is the E.A.I kit i sold him... it sales for $2100 The bad thing is most air ride does not come with install instrutions. Because there are so many ways or installing it. For example some people run air line in the car some run it outside the car. But I will get you some basic install instrutions.

my lines run under car inside my side skirts

thx`s dude
i personally like to run the lines inside the car make for a cleaner install the old guys like to have them installed inside the body and leave the frame with a clean look

u have smaller lines^^ and its inside side skirts so u cant even see lines if u look under the alero

line size doesn`t matter 3/8 1/2 1/4 inch it don`t matter
and plus i think running the lines inside teh car keep the lines safe from road hazzards ya never know what might happen

right now mine are outside but i just went with all hard lines.... But for regular air line it is best to have them inside....just my 2 cents
bdyman said size doesn't matter....lol

On my ciera I ran the l;ines inside straight down the center and the back has coil springs so I had to custom make brackets for the bags. I was using 1/2" lines w/ 3/8" MAC valves and was able to hop the back off the ground 3-4"!
