Codes P1810 And P0742

Took my car to Auto Zone as recommended by some of the more knowledgeable folks here. I got the codes above and looked them up.
P1810 comes back as, "Torque coverter circuit stuck on," and P0742 comes back as "Transmission pressure switch manifold fault." Both of those sound really horrible to me and I am terrified I am up against some heavy coin for repairs. If there are any shade-tree mechanics out there who could guesstimate what it would take for the repair ($$$), I will happily give you my first-born child. :)

Well I can tell you that if you gotta replace the trans you are looking at a easy $1000.00 otherwise I wasnt aware the torque converter had a circiut and the trans had a pressure manifold but i dont know much about the transmission and parts.

It sounds like the trans will have to be replaced, sorry to say :(
