I purchased Springtechs, but they're not installed yet. I came across a used set that were just starting to settle, and I couldn't pass them up. The price was right, and they'll give the car a better stance, too.

i had intrax on the alero and springtech on the GP.....both were very good! But you can beat the price on springtech
TYPE O.....CANT BEAT

i also recomend the spring tech`s for a real nice even drop
performance eibach
jackal2000
11-07-2004, 09:28 AM
you could also go with coilovers and those a bit more expensive but offer the most drop out of the spring/strut assembly and are adjustable

Another vote for Intrax. A nice happy medium between the Eibach's and the sprints. Lower then the eibach's, but better better ride and handling then the sprints.

I've also got Sprints. here are a couple pics: Front 3/4 pic (http://www.cardomain.com/member_pages/show_image.pl?fg=0000FF&bg=CCCCCC&migration=1&image=http://memimage.cardomain.net/member_images/8/web/428000-428999/428155_28_full.jpg) and Side pic (http://www.cardomain.com/member_pages/show_image.pl?fg=0000FF&bg=CCCCCC&migration=1&image=http://memimage.cardomain.net/member_images/8/web/428000-428999/428155_27_full.jpg). They drop just about 2 inches. it is a little bit stiffer ride but they make the car handle a lot better.

I've had springtech's for a while. The roads are pretty smooth here in Georgia
so I don't have any bumpy ride issues. The handling is great. Minimal body roll in corners.

I've got the Eibach's. I like them. Don't drop it a lot but increase the handling capabilities by a lot.

Ive got Intrax springs, but would get Sprint if I had to do it over again just because you get a better drop. I have no other complaints about my intrax springs though.

hey spilner521, i'm thinking about getting the springtechs. Pretty soon i'm going to be getting some 18" rims put on. What size rims you have?? i'm not sure if I should get my rims first or springs so i know how far to drop it??? but if you have 18's i'll get the springs most likely right away
jackal2000
11-08-2004, 05:46 PM
18's will easily fit with any spring mentioned
FormulaNERD
11-08-2004, 06:07 PM
yea, 19's will fit with sprints too.... 18's here with sprint, no probs.

Hi i'm sure I probably asked this before but oh well  i have the kato kombat kit and 20" rims. I'm wondering which set of springs is worth the money. I'm thinking eibach pro kit. So which ones would have the best drop for me and do you need to buy anything else with the springs or is that it for a better ride???
sound_xtreme
06-13-2005, 08:30 PM
i'd recommend eibach if you got that kit proly. they give the least drop and are a tad stiffer than the rest. you dont really need anything else but everyone on here will tell you to get struts.

20's and the Kombat kit

what's $120 american?
i paid $200 for my sprints and they were shipped from cali to my doorstep in canada...and installed for $30...and its safe...
i also just put on the ST strut/ Sprint lowering spring package...
im very pleased with the ride height, handling, and most important the cost of the kit.

Ok, again I have the Kato kit and 20" rims. Most likely going with the eibachs unless i can go a little lower. When you order springs and the struts, doest everything you need for installation come along with the package or do you need anything else???

alright I'll get a pic for you guys soon. I had one in the showcase forum but it was a while ago and it's without the cleared corners. One of these days if the weather is nice I'll get a variety of pics so everybody can see my ride :thumb:

I went with the Eibach's 'cause mine's a daily driver. The drop wound up just over 1.5". They give a firmer ride than stock without jarring your teeth. If I didn't put 100 miles a day on it, I probably would've gone with something more aggressive, but everything is a trade off.

I was searching for lowering springs on ebay and seen springs made my Canuck Motorsports (CM), anybody know or hear anything about these, they are a great price and offer a 1.6 drop. I'm going to by some within the next couple of days, if not these going with the INTRAX springs because they give a decent drop.

Don't forget wd40, and a cheater bar (home depot). And I don't know how you would get the strut plate off without an impact gun. Just letting you know. Those were the painful ordeals I had to get over.
UnoWHO
12-25-2005, 06:32 PM
Yea we have a compressor and all the air tools to go with it, what cheater bar? lemme know lol
eag182
12-25-2005, 08:06 PM
To get the 2 bolts off that connect the lower part of the strut to the car. Our impact gun ($30 one) didnt have the reverse torque to take off the nuts (21mm from what I remember), so I had to use a cheater bar with the socket wrench. If you need more details on the bar let me know, but it was just a 3 ft steel bar about 1" in diameter.

anyone got any input on "DropZone" springs?

Oh I know what you mean by cheater bar basically give yourself leverage, well yea I guess maybe I dunno his dad should have good enough tools, hes a mechanic so hopefully all will be well. Thanks for the advice

I want to know about these too. They're red, and will match my IDI cover and brakes (when I do the brakes).

Well let me know if you end up getting them, that price with a 1.6 inch drop sounds like a deal. And I think the price they show is in canadian so it should be cheaper for us?
