Fuel Pump Bad.....

Well the alerho has 59000Km on her and the fuel pump has now died. Im quite pissed about the whole thing but what r u gonna do. A new pump form GM is gonna run me 570CDN. I did a little research and I can find some aftermarket pumps but one has a terrible rating and the other is 100 bucks more. So after all is said and done its gonna cost me like a grand. f***ing GM. Oh well.

Go to a mechanic and find out what they would use and have them do it. I dont know if you could put a inline external pump on the line and have it work with the old pump dead inside the tank. just make sure if you do try a external pump that you put it after the filter.

a grand for a fuel pump? geez im glad i dont live in canada.

about 150-200 for a fuel pump here and its an easy install just a pita.
mechanic would prob charge around 350.

the pump is $570, the rest is tax and labor. I have it at my buddys shop so hes giving me the best deal he can. Its just the pump thats costing me an arm and a leg. The labor is only $250 including the cost to firgure out the problem in the first place. but taxes he are a bitch!, 14.5%

well I found the acdelco pump for much cheaper, thanx to my buddys lordco account! so its only gonna cost 700 when its all said and done....
