Round 1

I think the Civic missed a gear, I passed him at the 1/8 mile

Coasted to a win. Check out the MPH. 65 :lol:

Import out numbered US cars in the first round, by the start of round 3, US out numbered the imports. I lost to a Camaro :(

3rd round jinx. Rice boy before me dragged a lot of water on to the line :angry:

I wasn't too happy with my r/t's. The only r/t I liked was the last one but it wasn't enough.

I try to keep r/t's under .100

Even though you had a loss to the Camaro, atLEAST it was a pushrod motor under the hood of the winning ride. :thumbsup: Either way, I'm glad to hear that the red dog Alero is representn' the rest of the Alero croud.http://www.grandamgt.com/forum/images/smilies/molson.gif

good job Kenny ! :)

Nice runs, Ken! Sorry I wasn't there to cheer you on. On these import vs. US days you'll find the imports going out pretty quickly. 3rd round sounds about right.

The funniest was the 1 round and I raced a Civic.

He dialed at 16.96 and he had a .917 light, I had a .322 light (which I didn't like) and I think he missed a gear, he had to with running a 18.04.

I passed him before the 330 foot mark!! :lol: Ms Redog taped it so I have proof :thumbsup:

I used Daytona's conversion table for HP from 1/4 time

HP= (weight / (ET/5.825) ^3) {^3 = 3 cubed}
HP= (3280 / (15.249 / 5.825) ^3)
HP= (3280 / 2.6178 ^ 3)
HP= (3280 / 17.939)
HP= 182.84

I guess that's at the wheels, so I figure 23% lost between the crank and wheels

HP= 182.84 + 23%= 224.89

I also figured one of my worst times this season when it was about 90 degrees out

HP= (3306 / (15.80 / 5.825) ^3)

Came out to 165.74 and adding 23% came to 203.8

Avg between the two is about 214.35 if the 23% figure is right, if so not too shabby :thumbsup:

makes me sorta think that maybe i should spend only a little time and money one making it look good and spend most of my time and money on performance related things.... i think i might do that cause you get alot more satisfaction out of speed instead of looks :thumbsup:
