I recently had a accident with my alero. Im in need of a new front clip, which cost about $4200 im told. I was wondering If anyone has any front end alero parts or know a place I can get a good deal on the following parts. Hood, front bumper, radiator, core support, cooling fans (possibly), fron't quarter pannels, A/C unit, and headlights. I am just a college student and am kicking myself for not getting collision on my insurence, due to lack of funds. This one accident would had paied for itself if I did. I would greatly appreciate you guys could help me out if possible.

i'd check junkyards....

hood (carbon fiber!) ~800
front bumper used (color matched) ~150
radiator used ~120
front fenders used (pair) 400?
headlights used (pair) ~150

total cost so far, 1620.
just need the core support, cooling fans and a/c unit.

shop around. 4200 is outrageous.

I have found a few things on Ebay such as a headlight for $20 and a left fender for $29. Car-part.com is a great resource, thanks bigd6983.

What is cheaper Collision or the money to fix your car if you trash it. I asked my friend the same question, What is cheaper a radar detector or the $500.00 speeding ticket you just got. It makes sence to have it, Iam guessing you dont pay a payment on it any more since it is illegal not to have full coverage on a car you are paying off. Iam not trying to piss anyone off either so I dont wanna hear any crap about what I just typed. Also for $4,200 why dont you just have your car declared a total loss and buy a used car even a Alero my Alero was only $6,000.

Or even better part the car out you can make alot mor money on indivdual parts than you can for the whole car. you can get probably a couple thousand for the engine if it has low miles.

Try a couple hundred.

I can buy a used engine for my car for $125 at the junkyard.

Yeah but can they prove it runs? I doubt it, I could easily rip the heads of a 3400 clean them up and get more for them than you would pay for a possible not running engine.

Well first im getting a family friend who is a professional hand has his own private body shop. He is gonna give me a better deal than around 3k,because im gonna be wokin a deal out with him finding some parts here and there, and helping him out. He also say that the car is deffinatlly fixable and has alot of life left in it. Yeah it was't a good choice in not getting collison but I knew I was taking a big risk, and I messed up. I talked to my dad about parting it out when I heard it was gonna be around 3 grand, but he wants to fix it. Also if I was going a little faster than 15+ I would have damaged my engine block . It's not that bad, it runs and drives still and has no leaks whatsoever. I'll try to get a pic on here or somthin, thanks for your input.
