Looks good, just make sure you put amber bulbs in there or you might see some blues in your rear view mirror.

With my clear corners i took my ambers out and swaped em with my rear break lights. seeing as how my break lights are clear. My car lights up the other lane when i turn those signals on at night.

Sweet! Don't minivans have that feature built-in? I went ahead and stuck ambers in I think there's a law here that turns have to shine amber  stupid laws...

Pretty much. I can't really tell from your pictures if our cars are the exact same color or not... yours looks to be a little lighter or maybe it's the pic... I dunno..

Isn't yours "sport red"? Did you have it painted?

Mine is ruby red.
smlzalero
11-22-2004, 01:48 AM
ruby? I didn't know they had ruby... just bright & sport... huh.
either way it's very pretty. yeah, I guess mine has a twinge of orangey color to it that my mom always says is "rust" yrs is more pinky
How much did yr rims set u back if yu don't mind me askin?
cutelilcntrygrl
11-22-2004, 01:57 AM
Rust is the word I was looking for. Yeah, they have ruby red. There's a few others on here with that color.. only one I can think of right off hand is Naich. Up close though, it looks more like a deep maroon color. Rims and tires were 985.

it looks like water stains or dirt. i havent cleared my corners but would like to or get some more covers and disable my dlr so they dont warp.

11-22-2004, 11:36 AM
/\ When you clear them, it'll be super easy to clean that out, even if it doesn't wash out you can get chrome polish and buf it out- works like a charm! In fact I'm gonna buff the outside of mine shortly, they're a little pitted from bugs, highway debris, etc. What's dlr? Clearing will look so much better than covers, even if yr car's black IMO. Ask cutelilcntrygrl, she has covers until recently.
Clearing really isn't hard at all as long as yr hair dryer/heat gun gets really hot. just ask a lot of questions while yr doing it, once you get in there and see what the instrux are talking about, you'll understand them better.

That just the rims? My Helos ans tires were just over that. I guess you make more than I do... I really like yrs. I was looking for chrome with large spokes, though. I didn't want the "racing" look, does that make sense? Do yu think I should'v got 18s? I sold my old car to buy these, so I only had $1000, I wasn't as happy as I thought i would be when I saw them on the car, the salesman said they'd fill the well... wasn't thinking low profile tires would be same size as 15s w/hi profile. <_<

No, the rims and tires together were 985. What size are yours anyway? 18's are ok I guess. Mine are 17's. It's all personal preference really. I wanted 18's but these (American Racing Estrella's) didn't come in 18's so I got the 17's.

Mine are 17. I don't know ... I'll have to see how it looks after I lower it if I want to sell these and get 18s. Here in KC the curbs go right across the driveways, we have to drive over them, so I'm not sure if I want a body kit. I do want one, but i'm not willing to park on the street. Don't even know if I'll get in the driveway with it lowered, but it'll look so much better... I'm torn. Yu gonna lower?
cutelilcntrygrl
11-23-2004, 02:52 AM
I've got the springs.. it's just a matter of finding time to get it done. IF I even do it. I didn't think about all the pros and cons of lowering it when I bought the springs. You know how us girls are.. buying things without thinking.. lol.. Right now, the cons are out weighing the pros. You gotta be careful with those curbs though.. especially if you lower it. It's gonna be a PITA.

You really only have to be carefull on high curbs, and then, if you go across at an angle, you are fine.
I have intrax with drop further then the eibachs and the only thing I have scrapped so far is that stupid black thing under the radiator, and the bottom of one of my side skirts. The side skirts were my fault though, I should never have tried to park in that spot. Maybe if I was in a truck.....lol

i hate parking....my ass end or front end always sticks out cuz i can't go over any parking curbs......i get really close though....just creep up slowly and wait for my splitter to hit it...then back up a tiny bit.....it's an art.....

don't forget Olds used different names for certain GM colors. For example: Midnight Blue. The official GM name is Navy Blue Metallic.
