What is the difference between a regular pulley belt and a "poly cog" pulley belt besides price? The guy at Advance Autoparts said either would fit the 2.4L.

the grooves on the belt. one will grip the pulley better and have less slippage

Will a poly cog belt grip on stock pullies?

yea it will. if i remember it is like a gatorback belt. works with stock pullies and everything just better grip.
