well i'll definately be there... my lady and I are driving up Friday night and staying until Sunday morning. I'm pretty sure that we are staying at the marriot right by the convention center. All i know is that you go up a few floors and there's a tram or something that takes you right into the convention center, so i'm assuming its pretty close.

i'm actually coming home that weekend. my school's hockey team is playing at wayne state (school in detroit) that weekend so i'm coming home and bringing the girlfriend home with me to meet the parents. might have to spend saturday in cobo ooh-ing and ahh-ing and using my nice new digital camera.

i'm definitely in. i'll keep you posted about the girlfriend too, 2000, but as of right now, mark me down for 2.

brad, when are you leaving? i have class til 3 on friday so i'm leaving directly after that and center is on my way home...maybe we can do a little RMU/Aleromod convoy to detroit.

check out grands for where everyone is meet, they are meeting up in Toronto then coming to Hamilton then Stopping in Kitchener and then in London before we cross over from the looks of it.

I'm definitely going. Doubtful for the 15th, most likely the 22nd. For those who don't know, if your going from Windsor, the easiest way to go is to take the tunnel bus. It drops you off and picks you up right in front of the show. I think it's about $4(CAN) each way and no hassle trying to find parking. The show is $12(US) cheap! If you're coming from Canada, make sure you have your passport and/or birth certificate and picture I.D. The customs guys are real dicks.

If you want to come in the convoy we are meeting at the Tim Horton's in Hamilton at 6:30AM/7:00AM (hey, if you think that is early, we are leaving Toronto at 5:30AM).

well i'm not sure who all is going anymore, but my plans are that myself and 2 other friends will be driving to windsor on friday evening, hopefully arriving around supper time so we can go out for a bite to eat, then going to the casino and possibly the millionaires club for a night of debauchery!!! I think we'll probably be heading to detroit earlier in the morning then the niagara crew will be getting in, wanna get in as soon as it opens providing friday night doesn't go too late. Yeah James, I went last weekend. Mapquest calls the total drive time 4 hours 10 minutes but in actuality it only takes 3 and 1/2. It took me a little longer, but i had 2 girls with me and one of them always had to pee so we were always stopping and of course, i can't go 2 hours without eating...LOL. If those directions suck, let me know and i can just dictate directions to you...its really simple

thanx to the KICK A$$ chevy dealer near my work, the trailblazer is 100%

mann i called them up at 8:15 this mornin, and told them my poop was messed up and i needed it ASAP.

Dood said, get it down here and we'll get 'er done

20 minz later i getta call tellin me what all went wrong, and that they don't have the part in stock but they had a guy on the way to another dealer to get one.

2 hours after that i getta call that shees all done, and they did 3 of the recalls that never were done on my car.

cost me $330 But they took me in over all their appointments and got me all fixxed up.

Guys I'm afraid I went this wednesday, I couldnt get Saturday off because he wants me to work weekends. On the plus side, it snowed heavily wednesday morning, and it was mid-week, so it was probably the quietest day to go...

I've never been to the auto show before but I hear on weekends you rarely get a chance to sit in the cars because there's a crowd at every one... I had no problem sitting in any car, I only had to wait for a minute or so for a few of the cars during the busy hours. I took almost 100 pictures, and I have some web hosting and I'll post them there once I create a page for them... unfortunately I'm busy so it'll probably be this weekend at the earliest before I get the page up.

i don't know where any of that is but i basically take 60 to 76 to 80 to 75.

on the website, www.naias.com i saw that a group rate is 25 or more. i doubt that we'll get that many people.

go to the website, highlight directions & travel, go down to driving directions, enter your info and it will give you step by step directions. those directions are as good as any. notice that you get off at exit #49...i live about 20 minutes past that so if you want, we can meet somewhere tomorrow morning and convoy together. then, where you get off, i would just keep going til i get home and i would meet up with you and some of the other aleromodders later on.

side note: i punched allison park into mapquest and i'm not too far from you. depending on what way those directions tell you to go, we could meet right off of 60 at a gas station or something. if you have to take 60, let me know because i have a good idea of somewhere we could meet.

Well i will be the first to post about our adventures. Well some of our boys including Malero went down to windsor friday night to beat the bad ass storm that we got up here. We were late leaving this morning since we didn't leave last night by and hour or so took 6 hours to get to detroit with the bad weather, white out conditions, little cars trying to be the heros, quite funny stuff, pictures to come about that. well now even 15 minutes into detriot some huge ass ups truck desides he wants to pass Malero and that didn't go to well, some smoked car, bumer, trunk, window, plus more, no one was hurt thankfully, detroit is the worse for accidents there some stupid stuff. mike will post in more detail i am sure when he is back. Hope everything got worked out for you mike, good luck with the car.

and as for the show, it was great losts of pictures to show, i had fun taking them. Thanks for coming out James u made it there on time. and jason to bad we missed you. our ride home was only 4 hours with me sleeping for some of it, and thats all from me i am beat, going to bed, hope everyone got home alright....byeee

Hey just though I'd post up some interesting stuff that happened today (Sunday). I saw malero's car today, he was turning left onto huron church, presumably to go home, and I saw his car was all smashed up (at the time, I didnt know who's alero it was but I noticed the aleromod stickers).

I was driving my friend home, who lives near by. I went to turn into her driveway, and I got stick in a ~3 foot pile of snow left by the friendly snow plow... it was stupid to even try getting into her driveway but that's besides the point. So I'm stuck partly in her driveway, and the rest of my car is on the road, blocking traffic because the street is narrow and covered with snow. A guy comes from across the street and helps me push my car out.

He noticed my aleromod stickers, and as it turns out, he's a friend of malero. He told me that malero's car was hit by a USPS truck that fishtailed and ran into the back of him. "Oh really?" I said, and then it clicked "Oh poop, I just saw malero, he was turning onto huron church".

Small world, huh? So I thanked the guy and went on my way :P

Malero when you get this, thank your friend for me again ok? He lives on California, I don't know his name or anything but hopefully you know who it is...

Anyways I'm still working on getting my pics posted up I havnt had time to do up a website yet..

Definatly an interesting day.

The snow was horrible, But since we pimp a 4wd trailblazer i blew rite thru it at about 65 the whole way

So i get there pretty much rite on time find a parking garage, then decided to wait for everyone so sat in my car for 45 minz.

Decide to wait inside the show, so i walk over to teh show and wait inside the lobby


I hear from Jen about 45 minz later and she tells me they're commin thru the tunnel and her fone is outta service. So i assume they'll be here in like 20 minz

3 hours later!!!!!! I still haven't heard from anyone so decide to go to the pontiac display and wait there. So i still hear from noone, then boom outta nowhere i spot jenn walkin up :D :D :D . So thats when they tell me a Post office truck smashed up mikes car :( (i know i work for them, but claim no responsibility LOL!!) and he has to wait like 4 hours for a tow truck.

so the day was all down hill from there. Saw some sweet rides at teh show, decided we were all stayin in windsor, then decided we were goin home, then decided we were stayin and partyin, then decided we were goin home LOL

P.S. don't sweat it mike, the post office has excellent insurance and u will be well compensated :thumbsup:

ended up not going saturday because i didn't get home til 4pm. i left promptly at 9...mapquest says 5 hours, i've done it in 4 but it took me 7. that was all of the fun i was interested in for one day when it came to driving on crappy roads with the alero. the whole family came over for my grandpa's birthday and met the new girlfriend. we went and saw coach carter later on but drove my mom's denali so we tanked through the crappy roads.

next day, woke up bright and early and went to the show, got a lot of nice pictures and liked the show. i don't think it was as good as last year but it was still fun.

this summer, i'm selling the alero and buying a 4wd SUV so let's make sure we schedule something for next year too and i'll be there on time...hopefully.
