Hello,

I am ljslms from Wisconsin and I own a 2003 alero 3.8 liter.

My drivers window will not go down. All other windows operate correctly.
All other components on switch also work correctly.
I need wiring diagram to test and confirm whether problem is switch or motor.
Can anyone direct me to wiring diagram resource or more specific instructions on function of each wire attached to switch.

Thank you,

Vtolds

Welcome, I think you mean it has a 3.4 liter unless you did a swap. I have heard that giving the motor or the general areas around the motor a couple good WACKS with something it fixes it so it works, usually a dead spot on the motor so gotta work it past it.

primitive mechanics.........right........me VTOLDS, must fix car....ugh..ugh.....

anyways, i had this problem, i don't have any diagrams but i'll try to walk you through this as i had this problem also

1. Remove door panel (couple screws, lots of metal clips....should pull off after the screws
2. i'm assuming you have a circuit tester, i hooked mine up to the metal brackets on my driver's seat......
3. unplug the wires from the window motor (small round black cylinder)
4. test both sides of the the connection (make sure you push the window switch both ways to test for a circuit)
5. most likely it is just your switch (may be a littler dirty, i cleaned mine with some canned air) that's how mine was

if you have any other questions or problems feel free to post and Welcome to the Aleromod.com Community!!!
