Anyone installed one of these?

The mini cameras seem terribly expensive. Like, <$300 expensive.

Check out this:

THink it would be easier to buy a small camera from radioshack, weatherproof it, and use one of those portable dvd player for a tv? Those cost less than 200 bucks these days, and radioshack cameras wouldnt be as expensive.

Your thoughts?

I'm accually setting up a backup sensor on my car that measures distance with ultrasonic sound and am going to have it display on a LCD display i'm putting in my dash.

So rather then just a picture you have accurate measurements :)

yes I am using my car for my final project in my computer engineering course. Oh and the sensor i'm looking at for this is going to cost me like 70 bucks. So definately alot cheaper then that.

I have a "mirror" that is attached to my windsheild. Everything is backwards which kind of messes me up, but it really helps me see what is behind me

hehe.

I have a neck, its attached to my torso. It will rotate approx 90 degrees either way, and with movement of my eyes and/or body I can see things behind me.

First the Canadarm and now rear view mirrors with necks that rotate. We are technology leaders.

I think I'd describe the way i'm feeling as a combination of "hilarious" and "asshole"
