Hey guys! I'm from mishawaka, indiana and i have a 2k1 Alero GLS with just a descreened MAF, gutted airbox and K&N. I look forward to posting on this board!

Thanks guys! I appreciate the welcomings! (is that a word? haha) Just curious, why might i want to put my maf screen back in? Granted im pretty new to the idea of modding an alero, but if a common free mod in the f-body world would cause damage for an alero, please enlighten me :)

i think cutelilcntrygrl is saying that by removing the screen from your maf sensor you're allowing for the possibility of larger particles to be mixed in with your gas before ignition, leaving more deposits in your engine and possibly fouling your plugs. But the air filter you have put in should take care of that problem, depending on where its located tho it may lose some of its filtering ability if it gets wet? What benefits have you seen from having it out?

I noticed a difference with the butt dyno lol.....and i could tell that the throttle was more responsive....i thought it was worth the 5mins of work :thumbsup:
