Okay, I got my side mirror fixed about a week ago. IT LOOKS LIKE NASTY BABY POOP! Whatever they used oozed out and got onto my car! They claimed that they fixed the whole thing and didn't used any glue...freaking LIARS! :pissed: I'm so upset! Can ya tell?
The thing is...okay, they repainted the area where I had taped the mirrior back on and tape residue was there...and the glue oozed onto it and areas of my car that wasn't repainted...RUINED IT! Ah! As I type my sister is taking it to her friends shop and getting it fixed. I didn't go there before because I wanted to use my warranty so I tok it to the GM dealership I got it from....though these PROFESSIONALS would do a good job. Guess not. <_< Man I'm steamed! I have pictures of it but my scanner caught fire about a few months ago. Yes, caught fire... :huh?:
I'm sick so I better get back to bed before my mom catches me out of be. Cya!

Luv U! Luv me! Nikki!

I'm sure we all have our horror stories with GM... it is a shame though that things just can't be done right the first time (and when it happens, you're pretty much left hanging).

probably would have been much better off buying a new mirror and taking it to the shop to get painted (or paint it yourself if you have the time)

as for the scanner, that sucks! sounds like the relay melted while the scanning rod (whatever it's really called) was turned on. Were you trying to scan a dollar bill? Don't do that unless you have an uber-expensive scanner that can handle that. (Dollar bills, in any denomination, are so complex that most consumer scanners won't be able to scan 100% of the fine detail, which would lead to the relay burning, or some other total malfunction.)

Yea, you can't trust all GM dealers to know what their doing. It depends on what mechanic it is, and the dealers rep. My dealer is pretty good, mostly beacuse the same two people work on my car when I take it in. My passenger side mirror power connector wasn't even hooked up when I got my car new. That might be a factory defect
