For those of you who have done the interior trim, I would like to know the following:

If you painted the interior red as in the exterior color red, what was the exact color spray paint you bought?

What is the name of the clearcoat spraypaint I should get?

I'm hoping to get these at Walmart.

i know its covered in other various topics, but the way to do it is get what is called plastic promoter (aka plastic primer) and put on about 3-5 layers (more the better) very thin layers and then pick out a normal spray paint, using thin layers id say about 10 layers for full color IMO and then clearcoat. works like a charm  id advise going to either home depot or lowes where they have a more extensive selection of spray paints for the best red to match your needs. if you would like the color of red that comes in the krylon fusion plastic paint, then u would just need to get a couple cans of that, and some clear coat, no primer needed that route. i prefer to clear coat either method just because i tried painting some plastic parts w/ that krylon and the clear coat just gives a little extra protection on the paint.

The best brand of paint is Duplicolor... you can get it at autozone and other parts stores. Dont go cheep on doing it or it will just flake and crack off. Make sure you sand or scuff up the peice befor you paint it so that the paint will stick. I have done this many times and learned from my mistakes. Also use the same brand clear as the paint. They are designed to work best when used together. Hope this helps

they advertise it as a no prep paint. So I just wiped it clean with a cloth and painted away.
