View Full Version : Pre Cut, Pre Shrunk Window Tint Kits?

i started a new topic, because this applies to everyone, has anyone ever ordered a window tint kit that is pre cut, and pre shrunk? i mean, it cant be to hard if its pre cut and shrunk!. anyone have any input? im a broke college student, trying to save money where i can, and in mn, tint will cost me $250 to have it done

its $80, and if its pre cut, it cant be TOO hard to do, anyone ever try it? they give you the tools and a video

Never tried it but I would say even if its pre cut your probaly better having it done so its done right. Look at it this way if you order it, do it yourself and it comes out like crap you just threw away half the cost to have it profesionaly done.

the only hard part about installing tint is making sure you have all the airbubbles out. Other then that cutting it is done easily with an exacto knife. if your gonna do it yourself, just buy it by the roll for half that price and cut it yourself. At least that way you know you'll get it perfect. You just spray on the soap and water, lay down your cutout, and squeegy out the bubbles with a piece of plastic. Let it dry before rolling down your windows

Buy the $5 roll at Wal*Mart and practice. Most of them come with the squegee thing.

also a lil bit of denatured alchohol cleans things pretty well
