I recently came across some carbon fiber vinyl and was thinking about using it to customize my interior trim. Anyone have any experience with this? Time? Difficulty?
Any info greatly appreciated.

Also what, if any, interior pieces are already pre-made c/f other than shifter and pedals?

Hey. Put it where ever you see fit. I bought a 6 foot roll a while back. I used it for my car (the tweeter covers on the front doors and all of the knobs on the factory radio), my brother's truck (the trim around his Pioneer TV/DVD), both of our cell phone battery doors and antennas. It's pretty easy to use and peels right back off if you don't like it without leaving a trace. Doesn't take much time either. All you need to do for a flat surface is stick in on and trim off excess edges (if any). For a curved surface, just start somewhere on it (usually an edge), use a blow dryer to heat it and make it form to the surface as you smooth it out with your hand. It's fairly simple. If in doubt, just practice. You'll get the hang of it.

Thanks, Hawk. I started playing with it last night. Started with the ashtray lid. (test piece) Looks pretty sweet. Moved on to cell phone battery door and cup holder cover. Very pleased with the results. I plan on doing that black rail between doors, door handles, and maybe mirrors, but have to wait until I get to my friends garage.
<---- Lives in a 2nd story appt. No extention cord long enough for blow dryer. lol.
Gonna continue with interior until then.
Thanks again for the input. :smokin:
