Mufflers

I am looking to buy a new muffler for my 2.2 ecotech for 2005. I was thinking about buying the Flowmaster 80 series because i like the dual outlets. I'm hoping to pull more with it too. If anyone could give me some advice on mufflers and which would be the best, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

thats a big ass sig man, u should resize it...

as for the mufflers go ahead with the flowmasters, I heard they sound nice

as for the flowmaster...I haven't heard anything bad. "pull more with it"? won't get much horsepower from exhaust. maybe 5-10 depending on if you modify the pipes at all. A little more, but don't expect to smoke Camaros. lol

Flowmaster 80's sounds really loud and deep on a 3.4, people think I have V8

Don't get one of those fiberglass striaght thur jobs, on a 4 cyl it will sound like a lawnmower :rolleyes:

flowmaster or magnaflow would sound good with the eco. i have a magnaflow on mine and it has a deep tone to it.

I have one of those fiberglass strait through types, but I left the resonator alone so it won't sound too high pitched.
But, if you want duals, go with the flow.

I'm not looking for a Flowmaster vs. Magnaflow. I just want to see what is good for my car. I have heard that i need a lot of back pressure for a 4 cylinder. So i didn't know if the Flowmaster would give me the back pressure or not. I'm hoping to get some more power but it is only the small engine. Right now all I want is the look of duals. It looks really good under the body kit I just got. I was looking at the 80 series muffler from Flowmaster that has an input and output on one side and an output on the other. That way I won't have to put in a "T" pipe and lose the backpressure. The only problem is that it is only made for camaros and firebirds. if you want the look of duals, the easiest way to go is the "camaro' mufflers from either company, with a inlet on one side, and a outlet on that side, and the other side.

besides the catback kits, i think about 95% of people that want duals on our cars go with the flowmaster or magnaflow camaro/firebird muffler.

i've got the flowmaster 80 series muffler on mine and i like the sound. now i'm just waiting for my header so i can get it installed with the 2.5 inch piping from the cat back

I have a magnaflow dual tip on my ecotech, I love the look, I love the sound, I love the power, it is just loud.....but I don't mind.
