Look for one of these inverters at walmart. The one that I have will allow you to change the ground signal from your head unit to match the factory amplifier. I believe that this is the one I purchased. http://www.scosche.com/scosche.aspx?Catego...=36&ItemID=SLC4 (http://www.scosche.com/scosche.aspx?CategoryID=36&ItemID=SLC4)
Unfortunately they don't have the pdf files on the site. I can try to find the install sheet to varify which model and possibly scan it to you if you would like.

LMAO! $1000?!?!?! wtf?! I am an installer at Best Buy and we do Eclipses ALL THE TIME w/ Infinity systems. The price for BB is $17/speaker for rewire (plus speaker wire) then $49.99 for the deck install (if there's no free install going on). MAYBE another $15.99 for a custom hardwire. But $1000 HELL NO. MAAAYBE at most $200 AT VERY MOST.

You just bypass the factory amp (under passenger seat). Which means run new speaker wire to each speaker..and leave the amp as a dead unit in the car or just remove it (gotta take out passenger seat). Then install the deck and wire up the new speaker wire you've run to the harness off the back of the deck and connect power, ground, and constant and you're good to go!
