View Full Version : Spoiler Opinions?
Does anyone have opinions on the stock spoiler? I wanted to buy it, but I'm not sure if it will make the car look that much better, I like the Alero's that have the spoiler, but I am still undecided, does anyone have opinions about spoiler or no spoiler?

I personally don't like the stock spoiler. I'm partial to the Razzi hi-rise, but no spoiler at all is a nice look, too. It really depends if you're gonna do a kit or not as far as a Razzi or whatever.

No spoiler. Not even an after market spoiler. If you tint your windows, and you don't have a spoiler, Alero's look really bad ass.
See, i'm not sure if i wanna do a body kit, perhaps somewhere down the line, but i do like the Razzi spoiler... IMO i would probably go with that if i did get a spoiler... and smlz, where are you located that you have your steering wheel on the right side of your car? I just noticed that, and your sig that says "lol, it's European." lol *hits his head* Stay on Topic!
and Nik, yes, tint is on the way pending my next pay check / the selling of my paintball gun

I think coupes look funny without a spoiler. It looks better on a sedan, but I still like something on the back end. I do love the razzi spoiler, and would think about getting one if I didn't have the stock one.

Yup, I think the coupes carry a spoiler better than the sedans.

my car would look stupid with the stock spoiler.... personally i think all the coupes look better with a smooth trunk.... look at jackals.... it would look dumb with a spoiler too..... sedans pull the whole spoiler thing off better, sedans without the spoiler look really gay.
Just look at other cars as well...do you see a lot of cars that are coupes with or without em? I see a lot of coupes with spoilers and most sedans dont have spoilers... <_<

i think they look funny without a spoiler, whether its a 2 door or 4 door. i prefer the stock spoiler over the razzi.

If you dont have a spoiler, you think it looks better with out one. If you do have one, you think it looks better with one. Its because of what you look at everyday.
Personally, I like the look of sedans without them.

no spoiler here, i wouldnt want it any other way. to me a spoiler disrupts the smooth body lines of our cars. thats my opinion, take it for what its worth.

honestly, and no offence to anyone, but i think that alero's without a spoiler look liek total poop and i would have never even bought an alero if i didnt see mine with a spoiler compared to one without one, they just look way too plain and "unfinished" like they stopped building it halfway through <_<

i think it also depends on the color of the car, some colors can pull it off and some cant.......with a dark colored car the apoiler doesnt stand out as much and gives a nice subtle look......

rev's and formula's car look good without a spoiler, but when i see a stock alero driving around without a spoiler, i think it looks kind of cheap in my opinion, especially the sedan. but once the car is tinted, dropped and rims no spoiler might actually look better, but i like my spoiler (dk blue 4 door)

i didnt think that red aleros would look good without a spoiler, but with those rims rev's car looks really sweet without a spoiler. Im pretty partial either way i like them with and without, its all personal opinion.

^^ good point^^ Everybodies entitled to their own opinions about the spoilers, but IMO i like the sedans w/o the spoilers especially if its tinted, and a darker color (my Alero).... If i were to get a spoiler someday though I would probly go w/ the Razzi one

I have a black coupe with no spoiler and I wouldnt want it any other way...I agree that it takes away from the cars lines, just looks cleaner without it imo. But I did really like brents when he had the razzi kit and wing on it. And sorry to say this sno, but everytime I see your screen name that early 90's Canadian regge rapper pops into my head

haha, actually i was referring to mostly stock looking sedans.... like the everyday aleros you see on the streets. if it's dropped and has wheels, i prefer the clean look with no spoiler, but the razzi spoiler is cool too, it all depends on the color, tint, wheels, etc. but as far as stock goes, the coupe looks better without, and the sedan looks better with...... IMO

for a stock looking spoiler, I don't like the Alero's, but I do like the GA's SC/T spoiler. would have to be a light color or Black (but IMO, shades in the middle and dark colors won't work)
The Razzi is a pretty decent wing. I think it looks better once the car has been dropped though.

 I was just bein sarcastic, but I agree. I think almost any alero that is stock height looks kinda funny without one. Although, you don't see too many 4x4's with spoilers  SO you can say the Alero is "unique"

I have a white 4 door. I got the spoiler off of a 2001 Chrysler Sebring I found this (http://store1.yimg.com/I/spoilers4less_1824_21370756) picture. I'll see if I can get a pic tomorrow of it on my car. Basically it's like the Mustang GT spoiler but the shape goes a little bit better with the lines of the Alero.
that ought to look nice  can't wait to see the pic, and yeah, i've always liked the spoilers on the new sebrings, and even the stratus's, which would have been the car i would have gotten if i found a Dodge Stratus R/T before i found the alero... but anywho...

I was looking at a mustang spoiler a couple of weeks ago and thinking how it may look on the ho. Good job, spilner. It probably does look better in person. Not something I'd give a shot at now that I actually seen it outside of my imagination. Probably looks really hot on a coupe. Mine is a 4 door. The Razzi is the best aftermarket out there...I like the Monte Carlo spoiler.
How hard is it to put on a spoiler that was never intended for the car? Do youhave to use plastic filler? Do you have pics of the installation process, spilner?

My car didnt come with a spoiler, so i didnt have to fill any holes if thats what you're talking about. you just measure everything out..many times to get it right..drill the holes and bolt it in place. luckily the mustang spoiler sits on the trunk exactly how it should, no gaps under the supports.
