Hey folks. I'm getting ready to install Eibach springs and KYB GR-2 struts on my 01 GLS. My mechanic asked me about potential negative camber problems on the front end (the top of the tires would be too far inverted to be aligned). I'm wondering if any of you who have installed Eibach have had to either use an alignment kit (such as the one sold on Tirerack) or another cam kit or some such. In short, is this a common problem when lowering? Would appreciate any responses.

I havent heard of a problem but tirerack does recommend getting it but they could just be saying that so you buy it.

no you don't need it. Eibach and the other lowering springs for our cars do not lower the car enough to have a negative camber affect. if you were to lower at least 2.5-3 inches or more I would recommend them.

^^^ what he said, i have springtechs which drop the car even more than eibachs, and tire's plus had no problems re-aligning my car
