maybe this has been brought up before.. i just didnt see it.. but what is the best body kit, in your opinion.. and what all body kits are there for the alero? is it just the 3? or is there more?

theres the Razzi, ***, AAS that i know of....IMO the razzi is the best if you mold it into the stock bumpers, as it retains the body lines of the alero while adding some contour on the bumpers...I at first thought the AAS was a sweet one but then ive gotten farther away from liking it as it is too much looking like an eclipse on the front, and the *** is too expensive for my blood so id say razzi the best, AAS, *** worst.

I personally thing the razzi looks like poop....dont just get one to get one. If you want the *** or aas just save up for another paycheck.

^ Yup, I agree. I personally think the Razzi kit puts a little too much emphasis on the contour/body lines, especially in the front. I like the ***, but turns out it doesn't fit too well and it's expensive to get it to fit right, AND it totally ignores the body lines.
I agree about the AAS kit looking Eclipse-ish, but it doesn't look bad in the right colors.

well would it look good on a white car? because thats what color mine is.. white 2dr. and im seein that the names of the kits are razzi, aas, and *** is the name of the kit just *** or is it putting that cuz of sumthin in the forums like a filter.. and where do i find it so i can see it?

smlzalero

I don't think AAS kit would look bad per se in white...well, maybe.

jackal2000
01-13-2005, 11:11 PM
it does that because of a filter. check the FAQ for a body kit thread. IMO the *** looks pretty sweet in white.

I think the aas would look good on any alero. The razzi kit just looks like our stock bumper stretched down, and the @@@ kit not only looks like crap but there companys crappy to deal with and way over priced.

i prefer the look of the *** kit...and from time to time u can find them used on here for less than new on the *** website.

i like razzi, especially on the coupes...but ive never seen a white razzi coupe. one thing about razzi, since its ground effects not a body kit, youll see the lines easier on a white car...

yeah you can find them cheaper and painted white already at lukes garage

the "forbidden kit" (lightening strikes) has the best fitment i thought..... and the AAS one has the worst fitment, and the razzi........no comment on that one.

white04alero
01-20-2005, 11:59 PM
well.. ive never seen any of them in real life.. but ive seen the forbidden kit on the net.. and it looks like theres a HUGE gap around the headlight... maybe im just seeing things.. and i heard that once you get the 1500 kit, it takes that much to get it fitted once on.. so yeah i dono ive heard diff stories

mike2002
01-21-2005, 11:11 AM
razzi has the best/easiest fitment, no alterations needed. i dont understand why alot of people dont like it. you get 1/2 of us saying "we dont need a body kit, i like the alero's lines" then alot of people say, its to bland it looks like the stock kit stretched down.... ground effects arn't supposed to completely change the look of the car, thats the point, i think razzi's the best personally

i had one minor fitment problem with the aas kit but its nothing to "not buy the kit" because of

Only fitament problem I had with the AAS was with the driver side skirt, but they were suposed to fix that, I was like the 9 =th person to get the kit so I assume by now that should be fixxed

IMO the AAS looks the best, but the "evil" kit looks pretty good too.

The Razzi makes the car look too boxy. I've seen it quite a few times, in person, and I don't like the way it looks. I've seen it on red, white, silver, and tan

IMHO i think that a stcok car with the right mods lokks really good, i like the look of a stock hydros or bags, im not saying anyhting bad about kits, but they can be a hassel andhonestly dont do much for the car except make it looks different, the onlyproblemwiththebodykits i have i that since there are only tree kit, one which really sucks and almost noone has,and the other two that alot of people have which wouldnt make your car look very different thnalotof others, so yes, omekits are nice, aleroboys prove that, but IMO i would just do some other external bodywork first then if you arent satisfied get a body kit, maybeby then they will have the osv kit, if not go for the aas but for gods sake, put some grill mesh in the holes in the front :P

just remember, with a body kit comes alot of work, and alot of maintaining, and you really have to watch for dips and potholes :smokin:

white04alero
01-31-2005, 10:30 PM
well.. you could solve that problem with bags or hydros.. just raise ur car to stock height or sumthin when driving it...

ive learned a completely different driving style since being kitted and lowered. some risks you take and hope nothing bad happens, altough it would be nice to be on an adjustable suspension. it really isnt as bad as some people make, you may look funny pulling into a place slower then grandma walks :D but who cares as long as the front end stays intact.

hey there nothing wrong with driving slow over bumps actually i like to attract attention when i do that... goin really slow over speed bumps at an angle.. but now it going to be ever more fun with air bags and new body kit.. i like to attract attention can you tell

when you say 1.75"...what are you talking about...drop or off the ground. im guessing drop and no you should be fine. sprint/spring tech and the other brand i think of right now drop more then that.

Personally I think the *** kit looks the best. I had absolutely NO problems with the company either. Also, the kit didnt really have any problems fitting correctly. Just a little bit with the sides, but its rare to find a kit that will fit perfectly right away.

Razzi isnt a body kit, aas looks like it belongs an an import.

-Alero-
02-01-2005, 10:41 PM
well with the razzi you do have to modify it. you have to cut a bit from the back bumper. and i said the AAS had bad fitment because thats the only kit you hear people say "side skirt problem". i would not mind having the forbidden kit (lightning strikes) or the AAS kit. they make your car look different, and the razzi is just way too simple looking to spend almost 700$ on

AleroGL4
02-01-2005, 10:47 PM
yeah i have to agree that for the price razzi is your best bet. I would personally rather have the stock bumpers than the razzi ones though.

true that!, not worth spending, 700 plus i dunno 400$ for paint, for "about" the same look. to tell you the truth if you took a alero with the razzi kit on it, people would still know its an alero and wouldnt even know or care that you put the kit on. i mean only everybody here on this site can tell the difference between stock and razzi kit, guarenteed no body on the streets would know lol, it would kinda be like a self makeover, that only you could notice.

actually that would be another nameless kit that had/has the side skirt issue. It won't fit on a 4-door without modifications to the sideskirt and the back doors. lol I haven't heard/seen anything on the aas sides.

its been said over and over, you dont need to cut your rear bumper for the razzi kit.

i like the fact that it still looks like a alero with the razzi kit, you did BUY A ALERO afterall.... i dont like when a kit complelty changes the look of a car

btw, i saw a gold grandam with the aas kit and it was god awful, had a huge 'functional" racing spoiler too it was in apple valley minnesota, if the owner of that car is reading this.....you seriously need to rethink your mods.

i didnt mean it to be a complete jerk, i wasnt bashing anything, i was just saying that is all they do, its not like ricers say, their cars "looks better" than yours so its faster, honestly just makes the car stound out and look different, some better and some worse, but either way it is a hassel to drive with in certain areas :smokin:

If you do not cut your rear for the razzi kit the overlay will not fit properly.
The bottom of the overlay curves inright in between where the exhaust cutoffs are. if you look directly behind that on the stock bumper the overlay will not fit properly.
unless you mount in below where you are supposed to.

if you want the look of an alero you leave it as is, plain and simple. the whole reason to modding a car is to be different, not to be similar. lol would you wanna stick a razzi alero next to a stock alero and have a group of people vote on which looks better and here most of them say "uhh the front end sticks out a little more, i guess its cooler than the other one" or would you rather here people say "damn thats different". i dont really have anything against the razzi, its just that it doesnt seem worth it, like its just not satisfying enough. i wanna here a positive comment not a semi decent comment about my car... i guess this all just falls under personal preference you know <_<

mike2002
02-03-2005, 10:08 AM
thats the one part about the razzi, the front does look a little like a extension. its pretty obvious from the sides or the back that its different, and not just a extension, but people will find any reason to bitch about somthing. the other kits arn't perfect either. i bought a alero, i want i dont want to try to make my car look like a alero with a eclipse front bumper. alot of people bought alero's because they like the way they look, thats why i wouldn't want to drastically change the look of it. the aas looks a tad like a shogun style kit, and ive seen some done nice, some look like a riced out import, i guess that would fit with your blue headlights....

the aas kits i saw in person would not have gotten a postive comment from many people. i guess id rather get a "you have a really unique alero" instead of a "what the f*** did you do to your car?" just a personal prefence you know <_<

dans gen1, i was just going by a few people that said they didn't cut the bumper and it fit fine, maybe they just pushed it up because its flexible? i dont know.
