so my fiance and i are getting married in july and we are also going to get a chinese foo dog. the thing is, the pup is going to be in Swift Current, SK so we are thinking of having a canadian wedding since we would rather not have the pup shipped. so my question to you guys is, where would be a cool place to get married around there? any and all ideas are welcome. thanks in advance.

That's a cool idea, but have you talked to your family about it? I bet not a lot of them want to go to Canada for your wedding. Not to mention planning a wedding long distance is a pain in the arse. It would be a lot easier to just have a Canadian honeymoon. I know a few couples who have done that and loved it, expecially in the summer.

we arent too worried about our families actually. i know it sounds bad but thats just how we are. we started planning our wedding to be in my hometown but it blew up into something way too big for us to handle given the distance between us and the distance from me to home. we are just looking to do something small. another idea we are tossing around is the carribean but that doesnt exactly put us close to the pup.

Is it a coincidence that the words "Chinese Foo" and "Chinese Food" are so easily mistaken? :P

There isn't much out that way. I think eh nigma was from sask, but he is gone now on army duty.
I'll come to your wedding! I'll be the only guest!

There isn't really anything in saskatchewan. Maybe drive up, grab the mutt, and head either east or west to somewhere a little more beautiful, like the mountains in alberta or BC, or Niagara falls or Toronto in Ontario. And you could honeymoon there for a while as well.
P.S. If you come to Ontario you can hire me as your wedding photographer, and I'm sure alot of the local Aleromod crew will join you in celebrating.

ya, not much to do in SK. there is lots to see and do out here on the west coast. Vancouver has it all. :D The weather never gets too cold, the worst would be the rain, but if you come in the late spring or summer, no worries, nuthing but sunshine!

interesting. im not sure how much time the lady will want to spend in the car though. we had actually thought about a niagra falls thing but were kinda turned off by the 30 hour drive to get the dog. who knows though, she changes her mind all the time. thanks for everything so far!
btw, it would be cool to meet you guys too so if it works we will have to plan something.
