I need to remove my driver side A-pillar to run wire behind it. If i was just replacing it, i would just yank the thing out, but since i'm re-using it, i gotta make sure i don't break the clips. I loaned someone my Haynes manual and have no idea if i'm supposed to pull the pillar down towards my leg, inward inside the car, or upward towards the windshield. Also, how many clips there are?

two clips hold it, one at the top and in the middle. i just took mine out what i did is used a butter nice and carefully pushed it up till tthey popped out. But do it one by one and do the top one first that way you can pull out a little more for the middle and you should be good to go.

get a panel popper from autozone and start at the top and pry a little out and just get ur fingers in there and pull from the top kind of down towards the center of the dash (down and a lil right) and it should pop off...you'll have to give it some muscle. Mine came off no problem, clips fine and all...even if you do break a clip, you can buy them for dirt cheap at auto places.

Just don't forget to put the rubber liner back in place. I always forget
