Cruise Control Button

So, I went to use my cruise control, and the button does not stay in the down position. How in the world am I supposed to fix this? I can hold the button down and the crusie control will work, but I do not feel like driving for five hours holding the button down. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

samething happened to me. I took the back cover off the little housing there, and stucka small pebble between the contact on the circuit board and the bottom of the switch. the little light stays on now but it works
