What do I have to register for if I'm not showing? I'm not interested in a tshirt or door prizes.

so you are going to what, just stop by for a few then?

if you are planning on attending but just not showing at the homecoming show then you need to register. but to stop by say hi bs a little then go on your way then no.

But this is also not an invitation for people to say i'm not showing and don't want anything but be able to enjoy the whole thing and get hotel room and drink or whatever without registering. people like that are not welcomed.

Well, I finally got the internet back up at my new place and I get paid tonight so I'll be registering either tonight or tommorow.

hey guys, im fairly new to the board. i live about 30 minutes from lansing and this would be a cool thing to do. my alero is all stock for now since i just got it, but my question is can i drive up there each day the event is going on or do you have to stay the weekend to show your car or whatever. cuz i dont really have much to show other than how an alero looks when it comes off the assembly line (minus a few extra scratches.) anyhow, if someone can let me know, ill get registered and just drive up there each day if needed. thanks guys. look forward to meeting people and checking out what my alero can look like someday.

jackal2000

For anyone who cares... looks like we'll be there Saturday. Pat's getting in from KC late on Friday. We're still "talking" about which car to bring. He's hoping to have a new Saturn to bring just for Scot. I want to bring the beat up 'ho. He wants to bring a company car or his truck if he doesn't have anything cool. Guess it'll be a surprise.
And ya'll better be wearing nametags with two names (eg Oldsman/Scot) on them, because I'll recognize all of three people by face.

heh, I'll be leaving Buffalo at around 7:30/8:00am. 450 miles @ 65mph is minutes shy of 7 hours. I might leave earlier if I need the extra rest.

Off-topic: funny how all of my road trips in the Alero come out just under 1k miles. I've been to CT, Boston, and NYC all on separate trips, and the NYC trip came out to 960 total miles.

OT2: how are you guys planning your oil changes, before or after the long drive? I'm gonna do it before. ;)

If anyone needs a room for friday night, let me know, because Alerogrl21, aka heather isn't coming in till Saturday. So that would help me on expenses. If you don't have the money, don't bother staying with me, because i'm not covering for anyone's room cost.

hey how much did u guys spend on your room last year? Is it the 80 a night a flat rate? and how much for entertainment, eating purposes did u spend. Plus on gas for those who are comeing from the joliet area. thanks.

Oldsman
06-14-2005, 12:40 AM
last year we got a higher rate on the hotel. better rate this year.

rate is $79 per night + tax.
well for food and etc. make sure you have $2 for donation for the cookout after the homecoming show.
if you figure $20-$40 each night and figure $90 a night for hotel (unless you share a room) you should be good.

dont forget about beer money...

StockAlero00

I'll try and bring some beer from home. I checked my expenses, and this is going to be a tight money trip for me. I sure hope heather is still coming on saturday, to help ease the expense of the hotel or else i'm screwed. I"ve been trying to contact her to make sure, otherwise, i'll just come down saturday and stay till sunday to ease up the stress a little bit. I'm still coming, I didn't pay the 30 for nothing. And if we all go out to dinner on saturday i'll just stay away from ordering drinks and stick to water.
Plus i'll pack some snacks to eat at the hotel for breakfast or lunch, to save money that way too.

Why did my windshield have to get a rock thrown at it before ass? Wtf did i do, to deserve this punishment from god? Oh well I still plan on coming up and having a good time.

OK, I know i missed the ASS registration. But if I show up at the hotel Sat morning, I can follow you guys to the show and register at the gate until 11am correct? I just want to make sure, I am not sure if I want to show my car yet because it's nothing special and I haven't shown a car before. Even if I don't show the car, I would still like to come check it out.

June 18 Saturday.....Olds homecoming show. After the Homecoming show go back to the hotel, there will be a cookout, put on by a fellow Alero Chapter member. AC members will get a food ticket. Non AC members will be asked for a $2.00 donation per person. If any AC member would like to donate they are more than welcome too. After Cookout there will awards and door prizes.

this cookout will be in the parking lot at the hotel. so if you want to go out after everything that is fine. now remember this will be around 5 ish when we get back and get start cooking.

Please read the latest info thread to find the answer to most of your questions.
