depends on which struts you want, some people keep the stock struts.

how many miles on ur car, id say if you have low mileage you dont really need new struts.....but if you got above or around 70,000 miles id replace them just cause the rides going to be crappy.......yea i have kyb struts ready to go on and my cars been lowered on stock struts for a while and i can tell they are done and i have about 85,000 miles or so........i think the kyb struts are about 200 bucks for the whole set(american currency)......

for it to be installed i remember they were going to charge me i think 25 or 20 bucks(american) for each strut.......i dont know how much they will add on for the springs to be installed.....maybe total 40 (american) for each strut......just a guess....

I just ordered an Eibach prokit for my 01 GX and was also curious about the struts. What are the pros and cons of having/not having the struts. I have 100000kms and dont want to wate my money on the springs if i should get struts also. By the way you and your friends are [BSSSWWWEEEEEEETTTTTT

At 100000Km i would suggest that you get some new struts as well, under hard driving and with lowered springs You will blow those struts quite soon so invest in some good struts. if you dont get the struts in 10-20 thou k your prolly gunna have a floaty ride, some more body roll, i can feel mine bein a lil looser (stock struts) at only 62000km i installed my springs at about 20000km.
Deffanatly worth the money for struts now rather then later.. and deffenatly if your gunna pay some one to do it, get it all done at once, save yourself paying for the labour twice, i did it myself so no problems there for me.. but thats me.
fyi I did all 4 struts me and a buddy in 25 minutes :P B)

Well if you want to lower your ride I suggest getting new strut regardless, just to avoid any potential problems. Also you should be aware before investing in dropping your ride that the car will be stiffer meaning your will free more bumps, the car will bonunce a little more, due to the spring being stiffer. Just FYI

yea, ive never heard of those struts...then again, im stupid when it comes to car stuff. my boyfriend told me to go with sprint springs bc they give me a 1.75 drop in teh front and back. and eibach only gives me 1-1.4 drop.
oh and i got 24.500kms on my car(not sure how many miles that is cuz im canadian). and yea i kno dropping it makes the ride bummpy and less glorious so to speak:P ive been in my bfs car and its lowered so i kno what to expect
(im the one in the pink btw)
i jsut dont wanna spend like a grand on lowering my car. if i was made of money i wouldnt mind but...hot dayum!!

Your bf is charging you to lower your car ?
I'm not trying to give you a hard time or anything, but you'd think he'd do it for free. Unless there's a shop charge or something.

^That's exactly what I thought. My boyfriend, his brothers and dad all work on my car for free. :) I bake his dad a pie or something when he does a big job (he owns a shop).

Ok, reading again... it's your boyfriend's friend? Still... $100 is a lot.

Still too much...I wouldn't charge that to a friend. Its not nice to know greedy people.

Trust me your boyfriend can do it himself. I did mine myself on 2 cars now. He just has to believe in the spirit of Christmas. :D

ya, its not to hard, the first one will take you a while. but after that its not to bad. 100 is a good price though, a shop quoted me 180 for all 4. just make sure they send you the right nut, OR the spacer.....or they ruin your strut mounts....kyb is fixing this though, they replaced my mounts...

remember, you'll need a alignment after, about $65us

best deal for shocks is tirerack.com

best deal for springs is suspensionmax.com

dont know if its more to ship to canada though
