Check these pictures! They were taken at Tuner Bash. They are making fun of aleros. I think we should find out what they drive and have them race one of the SC Aleros or built aleros. Let's go get em!

I agree with you there. I eat V-6 Camaros, Firebirds, and Mustangs like they are nothing. I can beat older GT's, keep with newer GT's, and keep up with Z-28's and TA's. They don't know what they are talking about!

yeah guys...but if you read their "Statement" which goes clearly states...

Here is a short list of cars i personally like.
Subaru WRX & STI, Mitsu EVO, Mazda RX-7, Ford Mustang GT & Cobra, Chevy Z06 Vette, All Porsches, BMW M3, Toyota Supra & SC300, Nissan Z & Skyline, Acura RSX Type S

How many of our Alero's are going to keep up with those. I mean there may be a couple on this site....but those are super loaded. Our cars VS those cars, all stock...I see the alero coming in second.
So I can see what he's saying about "how fast the Alero is" *FROM HIS PERSPECTIVE* we won't change that....

Hmm... this person's list of faves reads like the back of a car calendar- Considering it'll cost you $75k to import a skyline, I don't think it's entirely realistic... Mousetangs are a dime a dozen, and Porsches, vettes, and evos are ready-made speed. This person wants to buy his speed, not build it.

I can't stand people like that. If u have respect for cars and building them then I don't see how u can bring someone down like that cause u understand the time and money that goes into it. Even if u don't like someones ride or think its slow u still gotta respect the money and wrench time.

Rice is rice, maybe he thinks the cans on the back of that Alero is ricey (not saying that car is ricey, just saying anything can be riced out I've seen v6 stangs around here that would put some hondah's to shame) I'd never critize anyone for what they do to their own car. I use to have Talon Tsi with a few things done to it and I'd cringe everytime I see a riced out non-turbo Eclipse with some asshole driver thinking he is king of the road because he has a blitz body kit, 5" muffler tip and a park bench sitting on the trunk until i'd put bus lengths on them.

I actually find that site quite humorous. Also, come on guys, our cars aren't fast. They look nice, and can be built up, but they aren't going to be really fast unless you have a lot of cash to drop on boost. People are allowed to formulate their own opinions of all cars.... if people think Aleros are stupid and ugly, that is fine because its their opinion. Hopefully we can prove them wrong by showing nice cars... but complaining about some guys personal site won't get you anywhere. Some of the cars he didn't like, I did like... and some of them he did like, I didn't. Its all a matter of taste.

Some people have nothing better to do. But if we try to show them alero's are fast, dont get no stock one to do it. Stock is what 190 hp? You do that they will just laugh at us.

That is exactly how I feel everytime I see an Alero with the soup cans and big ass wings......

Stock V6 is 180HP at the CRANK and about 130 at the wheels.

In my opinion, and this is only my opinion, anything slower than 9 seconds on the 1/4 is slow. So that makes pretty much every Alero slow.

But they are fun cars and I do like them.

our cars are not fast.

but for what ours are and have on them, etc. they are fast for what you get.

fast all depends on what you can handle and what you are use to. some people think 13's is fast, other think 9's are fast. Well depends if you mean fast for the street or just fast period. If you mean just fast period, well 4.5 @ 330 mph in the 1/4 is FAST. So everything else is slow......lol.

:angry: I really don't understand a lot of you people saying our cars are average. I personally took a v-6 firebird, mustang GT, turbo neon, turbo PT crusier, the RSX and matched a WRX. If these poeple think these cars are soooooo great and the Alero sucks, why did I beat them???? :smokin:

Well it sounds to me some stories are being told becuase these is no way you beat a srt4 or turbo pt unless you have some mods that you have not posted because I got beat by at least car length and half against the turbo pt but maybe the people you ran into cant drive a stick or dont know how to launch or they just lost traction but the alero is like any other car it is slow stock but can be faster with some money spent.

damn what do you have done to your car? The newer stangs run around a 14 flat, even if it was a fox bod thats still like mid to high 14's. The SRT-4 and WRX are also low 14 second cars. V-6 f-bods probably run low 15's unless it was a 3rd gen those v6's were garbage. You'd have have to be running low 14's to keep up/beat any of these cars unless some of these people don't know how to drive. Are you spraying?

Let me get this straight reddog... with a cat-back exhaust, high-flow cat, 62MM TB, WAI, P&P intake, and some plug wires... you beat a 230HP Neon?

Those mods you listed are good for perhaps 20-25HP.

You really think thats 'bull' That's fine, but the I lived the Reality of that and that is the same time I almost lost my car to the cops (for street racing)

I didn't say that I crushed the Neon. I said I beat him. I actually won by about 1/4 car length, so it wasn't much, but a win is a win.

This was my last street race by the way, I got nailed for street racing that night but I was very very very lucky that I didn't get a ticket or lose my car. If you look at some of my other posts you'll see I said that Philly's "live Stop" program was extended to stop street racing. I got nailed in the beinging of the program, so I got a warning.

I would like to add that is the cops who let me go that night, I still very greatful.

Just remember this everybody:

1. race on the track, not street
2. Just because you don't believe something somebody said, doesn't mean it didn't happen.

The Mustang GT was a Convertible, the extra weight helped me.

20 mph?? the neon will smoke you to that no prob.. HAHAHA.. I had the opportunity to take one out.. i previously owned a sub 13 second Talon and this Neon would give that talon a run for its money.. hell the talon would jump on a launch @ 4500 rpm... used to scare the poop out of me.. the neon did a good job and puttin me in my seat for a stock car too....

Aleros are slow... hell any 3.4L V6 thats only puttin out 170 horses is SLOW.. haha like seriously... the avg for a V6 now is a solid 200hp ATLEAST... people got V6s 240 horses stock..

I am willing to put my money on the fact that the guy who created that site(if you can remember what this thread was about) owns a fairly fast car, hence he probably spends most of his time sitting at home on the internet because he can't afford to go to the movies.
It's his site and he's entitled to an opinion. If we don't like it, we should just stay away from the site. Plain and simple.
We have a site for our cars...he has one for his...the fact is they exsist, and no amount of arguing is going to solve this battle.

reddog---- perhaps you beat them cuz the other driver wasnt really racing you! Did u spefically say lets have a race, or did u just do it while driving and acted like it was a race. I also think the racing also has to do with the driver, along with the hp and the performance of the car, plus the torque power. Those people in the other car could have just been not wanting to race and backed down. The alero is slow, i do get my pick up and alll, but I wouldnt sit there and think about entering it in a race.
