I got some warranty work on my ecotec recently and the dealership invoice states that a new calibration was available to correct stalling. Just to let everyone know if you want to check it out.

Interesting a new calibration?

I've never had any stalling problems....

so does that mean they adjust the fuel to air ratio or what exactly?

After I had mine done, I could not tell any difference what so ever. The dealership did not even know the details on what it fixed. All the invoice said is "OBDII calibration update to improve OBDII readings". I am not sure if it covers the 04's. It was like a non safety recall. You can check with your dealer and see if your car needes it.

Overdrive put it out last summer, I think. It corrects a few little problems, mostly for durability.

like brsexton said, I didn't notice any difference.

If you notice a difference it'll be in warmer weather. And it wasn't any major changes, just a few upgrades.

Ah, I see. I just got it done and warmer weather is another few months away here in the peg. Would overdrive be able to shed some light on the exact details?

Well, apparently I was a bit backwards, you'll notice the most change while the car is still cold. Just PM him and I'm sure he can explain it.

Sounds like the update done to my car while it was still under warranty. At night after work I would drive like a mile down the road and at the same stoplight everytime the engine acted like it was gonna cut out. I could watch the RPMs drop. After driving about 5 miles it was fine and wouldn't do it again. Didn't happen all the time though and never actually died, but the update fixed it. That was done the same time the precat 02 sensor was replaced.
