Okay people spring is around the corner and I've got some goodies on the way! I just ordered 2 new front rotors. They are the SP Performance Diamond Slotted rotors
http://raceshopper.com/images/sp_diamond.gif
I also ordered the EBC GreenStuff pads to go along with them (front and rear)

And for my wheels that will be getting put back on I ordered some new rubber! I got the Kumho Ecsta Supra 712's. They are 235/45/17. I can't wait! My old Toyo's were 215's...it's gonna handle like a dream!

They all should be in by the end of February. I will be taking pictures when it's all done and installed
ALSO!! I AM REPAINTING MY CALIPERS, I CURRENTLY HAVE WHITE ONES BUT THEY NEVER STAY CLEAN (BUT LOOK NICE WHEN THEY ARE)....WHAT ARE YOUR SUGGESTIONS FOR NEW COLORS OR SHOULD I KEEP EM WHITE?
Updates to come!

I think I just might do Red on the calipers...red always seems to look good even when dirty

everyone does red though.......if there's one color that always stands out whenever i see painted rotors on a car its red........so if you wanna be like everyone else reds the way to go.......i think black would look good as im lookin at ur rims......but up to you.....

I've never seen black painted calipers before...do they even stand out? As for the being close to stock, I don't know about that because stock ones are like a cast aluminum (like our manifolds) color. If I can find a pic or some pics of some cars w/ black calipers I might just do it, but I wanna see what it looks like first.

that is the only decent pic i could find...and idk...with white rims it looks nice, but w/ my hyperblack ones I think it'd be too dark

Nice rotors and tires. I have those tires myself. The greenstuff brake pads I have had too and I wouldn;t use them again. The dust from them is easy to get off but there sure is a TON off it still. I corrected that issue by going to ceramic. Just thought you might want to know before you put them on.

Thanks Crazy...I already ordered them so I guess they're goin on regardless, but my wheels are pretty open so I doubt I'll have that big of a problem, and I wash my car like twice a week when it's warm out so even if dust collects, it wont b there for long.

Yeah, I ran them too. They were the most dustingest mofo's I've ever seen.
They stopped really good though :) .

What was disgusting?! The rotors?! They look awesome! and work GREAT!
The fronts are $191.69 SHIPPED (to IL) from www.raceshopper.com they're made by SP Performance (not SLP lol). I am using factory calipers with upgraded pads (or will be I should say).

Good call on the brake pad and rotors. I would say go with red on the calipers. Oh, and I have those exact tires in a 225 and I love them. I've owned Falkens, Nittos, and other "high performance" brands before. I think these have by far been the best bang for the buck tire I've ever owned.

the Kumho 712?! Hell no! they're summer ONLY tires...on tirerack they dont even have a snow rating..it says N/A! lol. If you want good all season performers go w/ Falken Ziex ZE-512's those are nice..I have those on my car now for the winter.

alright....CRAP! I think I am NOT gonna get the Kumho 712's anymore..I found a set of Nitto NT-555's for $105/tire which is damn good! Does every1 think this is a better tire to go with?

If I had more money I'd have gone with the Toyo Proxes T1-S,
or even the Proxes4. I used to have the FZ4's and they were pretty good.
I don't have any experiance with Nitto though, but I'm sure they're quite good.

Well not the most popular brand but Fulda Extremo for about 135 buck a piece are pretty grippy. They are ZW rated so, but they are not rated for snow so you may wanna check those out. I got it on a special for 97 bucks a piece for end of winter sale at NTB.

I have the FZ4 on my rims now...those are coming off cuz they're all-season tires and I want summer only tires...same with the Proxes 4(all season too) the T1-S looked awesome..I wanted those but I think the Nitto NT-555's will serve me well

I liked my Nittos I had on my RX-7, but my only complaint was their length of life. They didn't last me more than six months. Oh well. I raced the car a few times on a road course when I had those tires and drove the car hard through the mountains of Southern Cali.
