I wanna put a few LEDs in place of the thrid brake light, but I was wondering how it would work with the variable light intensity. Say for instance when you brake the light has to be greater. How would I incorporate this into the schematics?

go to your dealership, order a third brake from an impala/monte carlo (00+) once you get it, open it up, take the LED board out of it, and fit it into yours.

I don't want the one from the other cars. I want the specifics, voltage-wise.

I think that the 3rd brake lights only come on when you hit the brake so it wouldn't matter with different voltages.
