Hey everyone, I just bought a 2003 Alero over the weekend, v6, 4dr, black...I love it.
I do have one question though, the dealer said it was a GL2, and when I ran the free part of carfax, it said it was a GL, but the Autocheck report the dealer gave me says its a GLS.
How can I tell which one I have?

welcome to the commmunity
to figure out which one it is, you have to look at which options you have. If you use the search feture on the site you might be able to find more info. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the warm welcome.
My cars options are as follows:
4 Door, Spoiler, V6, 4 wheel ABS, 16in Factory Rims, Power Mirrors Windows Locks, Power Driver Seat (Slide, Tilt, Height) ,Traction Control
Also, how can I tell if I have the engine block heater?
I think the GL2, only could change the height on the seat with power, GLS was a 6 way:

See, NADA uses AUTOCHECK, which is what the dealer used, and that says its a GLS.
Carfax says its a GL.
Something that just popped into my head too, I wonder if the insurance co thinks its a GLS, it would cost any more to insure than if it is indeed a GL2. Hmm
Also, I've got to say I am suprised at the number of welcomes I've gotten. I have been to other forums in the past where you are lucky to get more than 1 or 2 replies. Sounds like this will be a good place.

Welcome aboard!
What does it say on your Title for the car? It might have the model on there.
Worst come to worst you can always contact GM directly and give them your story and the VIN and let them tell you what it is.
